I really liked this manga. It's a short read, so there's not much in way of plot line and not really any huge drawn out dramatic moments. The drawings are very cute, and the characters are all quite interesting and unique. If you're looking for something cute and light-hearted, with a bit of bizarreness, I would recommend this manga.
This story was really great! It touched some soft, sentimental part of me-- I fell in love with it from the first chapter. The basic premise of the story is really quite cliche (girl living in apartment with a bunch of weirdos, falls in love with a total bishie) but something about Midori is so endearing. She's not the overused sexy, air-headed, boy-magnet, martyr of love. She's really lovable and her personality isn't nauseatingly weak, unlike some shoujo heroines. The whole story is full of little comedic moments that make you laugh out loud, and wonderful, sweet romantic scenes that make youwant, no--NEED more. And I think that the story had a nice conclusion. It leaves you satisfied but because you loved the story so much you want it to keep going! The art is not anything special or amazing, but I thought everything was very well drawn... especially the characters when viewed in profile. Don't get me wrong, there ARE flaws (in the beginning, the fingers seem freakishly long and Midori's eyes are often drawn annoyingly large) but it's a very clean art style overall. Unlike your average shoujo there is character development (shocker, I know!) and you really fall in love with all the characters. Overall, I completely enjoyed this manga and will definitely be checking out more of this mangaka's work!
Midori lost her mother when she was young and now her father's gone too. But her dad left her with a surprise: a fiancé named Tetsuya. So now, Midori has to live in a good-looking men only apartment (Harem Lodge), which is actually filled with weirdos. What is going to happen to her? Well we just have to wait and see... I wouldn't recommend it because it's too short and the ending makes you expect like there should be more. The art was OK,but it wasn't really the best.
There wasnât really much to like or dislike about this manga, itâs just kind of blah. I donât want to discourage anyone from reading this. Itâs an OK read if youâre bored and just want some filler but itâs nothing spectacular. It starts off with a 16 year old girl, Midori, whose father just passed away. He tells her if anything were to happen to him a man named Tetsuya would take care of her. And so she ends up at Harem lodge⊠Everyone at the lodge is different/unusual, which at first caught my interest but lost it as the manga progressed⊠At least somebackground information was disclosed about the characters, apart from that you donât get to know them any. For me there was no sort of deeper connection towards any of the characters. Midori is the only some-what relatable character and I still canât say I liked or disliked her. If you take away the background stories youâre left with a miniscule plot line that has a little bit of romance and the whole message of family. The end just dragged in my opinionâŠI had about four chapters left and I was ready to be done with it. I continued reading just so I could be satisfied with finishing it. Itâs pretty predictable and unrealistic. Story: 4 [decent] Art: 7 [good] Character: 5 [OK] Enjoyment: 5 [OK] Overall: 5 [OK]
Harem Lodge is a quick, easy read that will leave a soft feeling in your heart, but wishing there was more. Story - 7 The storyline of this manga was almost no existant till the very end. However, there was a lot of effort put into revealing the characters backgrounds. Unfortunately, the story kind of lacked 'oomph' and just when it was getting started, it ended too early. Art - 8 I found no fault with the art, and actually appreciated the small details in teh scenery.Character - 8 As i mentioned, the characters had a background and so they felt very real. Enjoyment - 8 I enjoyed the characters and their antics, and i loved the coupling. Also, i loved how the two teens were brought together.
