Masashi Kishimoto has made my childhood Golden...Even though Oda's story is legendary, But Kishimoto is the one who made my childhood special. His characters are like my Family. What a one shot manga man. Minato is hands down one the greatest characters ever made in from Japan and ever made in the world. Less is more , Quality over quantity is Minato's character. The Minato Kushina relationship is the best written relationship hands down in Naruto's story, and this one-shot manga made it even more beautiful. The art of this manga is infinte times better than boruto manga, do i even have to say more? Getting to see the golden Moments between Jiraya and Minato is not describe-able for me in words. Kushina's character got so much screen time, infact i would say its their manga. The dialogue from Mito Uzumaki to kushina was perfection. When minato woke up in the hospital he looked like Naruto, which gave me chills.I would love it if kishimoto did a yearly oneshot manga for characters that win the poll. I can't express how much i appreciate this Kishimoto sensei . Kishimoto used this story to give us more Jiraya and kurama and kushina. You guys don't know how badly i wanted a extra story of minato, i actually wanted a 7-8 episode mini series on minato so when the universe gave me a shot with Narutop99 and then the fans pulled through worldwide and gave us Minato as the winner, omg i was so happy. Then this legendary day, that we get this manga. One final review of the manga, brilliant art and character drawing, Amazing 2 page spreads, incredible backgrounds, detailed architecture drawing of the Hidden Leaf, superb allocation of panels for story telling. This was a M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E Thank You Kishimoto Sensei.
Long before Naruto Uzumaki mastered the formidable Rasengan, Minato Namikaze trains to develop the ninjutsu under the tutelage of his mentor Jiraiya. Minato strives to create his own powerful technique to protect Kushina Uzumaki, the strong-willed woman he loves. Honoring Uzumaki clan tradition, Kushina's body hosts the nine-tailed fox spirit, Kurama. The demon seeks to break free from his confines and wreak havoc on the world. As Kushina struggles against Kurama's power and her own inner turmoil, Minato hurries to complete the Rasengan and save her from herself. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
The one shot in question fails to bring anything interesting to the lore of the universe. The information provided often consists of elements that we already knew, which gives a sense of repetition. However, it's worth noting the quality of the artwork and the paneling, which is truly excellent. Unfortunately, these visual aspects alone cannot save the story from its lack of substance. It's clear that this one shot primarily appeals to Minato fans. If you're already a big admirer of the character, you might find certain elements of this story interesting or gratifying. However, if you're not particularly attached to Minato, it's unlikely that thisstory will attract or captivate you. The idea of creating a one shot may seem promising at first, offering a unique opportunity to explore a character or aspect of the universe in a concise and impactful manner. Unfortunately, in this particular case, that idea wasn't fully realized. The result is a story that proves to be superficial and lacking true value. Si, if you're a fan of Minato, you might enjoy this one shot despite its shortcomings. However, for those who aren't particularly interested in the character, it's not worth delving into. The story lacks substance and fails to fully justify its existence as an independent narrative.
Minato One Shot!!! Plot: (7/10) How minato found and named rasengan with few staff about his relationship with kushina and we see some staff about how kushina's life was as the 9 tails jinchuriki (very different from what naruto's was and i would say it was far worse) Art: (8/10) The art is leagues better than everything we have seen in boruto until now and a very well drawn chapter in general Characters: (7/10) Minato, Kushina, few panels with jiraya and kurama!!! For an one-shot the characters are handled very wellOverall:: (7/10) if you are a naruto fan especially a minato fan this one-shot is a must read
If you are fan of Naruto you should definetely read this one-shot, cause it's really good. It basically tells the story of how the "rasengan" was invented and it shows more in dept the bond between Kushina and Minato, and partially also the one between Minato and Jiraya. It's definitely nothing incredible and it won't spark a new series, unlike Bleach's Hell Arc one shot, but it's a nice read and something that could come straight from the original manga (would be nice to see it in a special episode airing on tv, but with the new anime coming in September I don't see itcoming, maybe as a blu-ray bonus for a possible new Boruto/Naruto movie?). The art is the same you saw in the original manga, and that can be both a good and a bad thing, because the panels are really well drawn, but it always feel like an old style, unlike Bleach's and One Piece's fresh style of the latest publications. Still it's pretty neat and a couple of two pages panels at the end are really cool. The only criticism I have for this one-shot is towards the fans (since the decision on who to make a one-shot about was given through fan votes): of all the side characters you literally chose the one with a full flashback arc already in the main series, we could have had something about more obscure characters, I especially have in mind something about Neji that apart from his end was basically absent throughout the entire "Shippuden" part, or maybe something about Killer Bee or Rock Lee, or even something more about Hashirama and Tobirama, since most of what we saw was in the anime and was filler episodes..... Whatever, this is still a nice little chapter. Score: 8/10
