Demon King of the Royal Class

If you’re tired of the usual overpowered main character who always knows what to do and never breaks a sweat, this series offers a refreshing change of pace. It starts with a failed author who dies from a heart attack—brought on by reading too many brutal reviews of his own work. As a cosmic punishment for the suffering his writing caused readers, he's forced to choose one of his own stories and is randomly reincarnated into it. Unfortunately for him, he ends up as the son of the Demon King—just as the Demon King’s castle is being invaded by human forces. So yeah, not exactly apower fantasy. To survive, he disguises himself with magic and manages to slip into the Royal Class at TEMPLE, the top academy in this world. And that’s where the real adventure begins. What I like is that the protagonist isn’t some master tactician or unbeatable warrior. He was just a regular guy before reincarnating, and while he did write the original story, he doesn’t remember everything perfectly—and some things were even added to the world when it became reality. So, the world isn’t exactly how he imagined it, either. What really makes him stand out is his attitude. He tries to do the right thing and doesn’t act like a jerk just because he knows he’s in a fantasy world. He’s not ruthless or manipulative—just doing his best with what he’s got. Unfortunately, the series has been canceled, which is a real shame. It had a lot of potential and was already doing things differently from most stories in the genre. But what’s out there is definitely worth reading if you’re looking for something a little more grounded, a little funnier, and a lot more human.
