I just finished reading it and I really loved it. The truth is that I saw this manga as necessary to deepen V's character more since I felt he was a bit short in the game. I think that we should give more opportunity to the DMC mangas/novels. I feel like we saw more aspects of him, scenes that aren´t in the game and learned more about Dante and Vergil's past Anyways 100% recommended if you have already played DMC 5, read it and give it a chance because even the artwork is pretty cool so any fan of Devil may cry series would enjoy this
Great companion piece to Devil May Cry 5. Added a lot of insight to the new character, V, and how things got to be where without feeling like being told a bunch of obvious things. Same for telling us more about how the Sparda twins came to be orphans as that's been sort of vague. The art and style is fantastic, suits the world of DmC perfectly. If they ever decide to do any future manga spin offs I hope they keep using the same artist. They've got some great other DmC art in their portfolio and familiarity to a series is always helpful.
Based on the game Devil May Cry 5, it's a spinoff story from the viewpoint of the mysterious man V. The story will go into V’s birth, how he meets his familiars, and other plot details in what is essentially a prequel to the game. (Source: ANN)
