Synopsis
After returning victorious from his first journey to magical ruins, Lü Shu resumes his peaceful life with his adoptive sister, Lü Xiaoyu, while trying to avoid revealing his true power to Tian Luo Di Wang, the organization that enlists cultivators and protects the country from foreign threats. However, the siblings' rest is short-lived, as new menaces from abroad creep from the shadows and threaten Lü Xiaoyu's upcoming expedition to the ruins. In the ensuing confrontation between rogue agents and a team led by the strongest B-Rank cultivator of the country, Lü Shu may have no choice but to show the world how strong he and Lü Xiaoyu have become. Spare Me, Great Lord! 2nd season is very entertaining to watch just like 1st season. Animation & Production- Season 2 maintains the high bar set by its predecessor, with improved fight choreography, episodes 9–12 feature particularly fluid animation, showcasing hand-drawn action scenes that surpass Season 1’s peaks . The opening theme remains a standout just like first season. Character Growth- Lu Shu’s growth is more nuanced, as he begins trusting his mentor and confronting external threats—a step up from Season 1’s episodic trolling .However, the season still struggles with some pacing issues. Verdict- Season 2 builds on its foundation with stronger action and character arcs, though it stumbles in balancing humor and drama. It’s a worthy follow-up with great entanglement value that made me look forward to 3rd season.
