This is not a romance at all. It is about a girl who lives alone after her mother died (her father's whereabouts have never been know to her), but low-and-behold her dad is a king and she is a princess. The story progresses as the two butlers try to give her princess lessons, which she doesn't take to very well. However, the storyline wavers from being about a future queen, to how the butlers become her family...no romance or indecent-ness involved. She doesn't develop crushes on either of them nor them on her or any other character. It was still a good story about thehardships of life that people with parents that have past can probably relate to. I only gave it a 6 because it really wasn't what I was looking for and each chapter basically had a different storyline that didn't entirely connect with any of the other chapters. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the story really didn't do anything for me, but I don't really feel like it was a waste of my time either, and since there are no other reviews I figured I'd give it a go.
Maria lost her mother when she was ten years old, and now she’s a high school student living by herself. But suddenly, two butlers, Rufus and Yuri appeared! They work for her father, whose whereabouts is unknown, and they informed her that she’s a princess?! Moreover, she’s told that her father is on the verge of death and would like to meet her during his last moments… It’s the start of the princess training between the two butlers and Maria! This isn't the best manga in the world, but it is soft and sweet if you need something simple to read. I do want to point out, however, that it's label as a 'romance' is completely wrong and should be changed. It IS a shojo manga, but it is not a romance. It's more of a 'family' manga and focuses around a family aspect. If you go in looking for any romance, you'll be sorely dissapointed, for it is NOT that kind of manga. Now that I got that out of the way, the concept is that the main lead female lost her mother, andlearns that her father is the king of some far off european country, who sent two butlers to watch over her. It shows their progress of being her butlers to becoming genuinely important family members to her. All aspects are soft and sweet, and it's just supposed to be a feel-good manga, never delving too deep into major plot-aspects. Which can be it's downfall, as it has a lot of wide-open doors that they never explore, that should have been. So if you go in, not expecting a large ammount of plot, and just wanting something short, soft and sweet, then this is the manga that you should definately read as a sweet family-oriented manga. Hope this helps.
