Shonan Seven is a continuation of the work of Tooru Fujisawa. Colorful characters who all dream to be the strongest. The story is structured around a tournament and is therefore very classical for this theme. Few surprises or elements that allow this manga to stand out. Shonan Seven is therefore inferior to the other works of the scriptwriter. However, it keeps a certain freshness by its chapters which do not deal with fighting and which are quite funny. Also, the artist does a very good work especially in the chara design of the characters. We can lose sight of a character for a while but we rememberhim perfectly when we meet him again. Also, the fact of finding some of the familiar elements of Shonan will not fail to make the reader smile. Shonan Seven takes place in the same world as Shonan Junai Gumi! In conclusion, this title is a very classic furyo to be reserved for the fans of Fujisawa's work or furyo manga who still want some.
Yearning to become the strongest in Shonan, hot-blooded delinquent Ikki Kurokami starts his third year at Tsujidou High, Alma Mater of the legendary Oni-Baku duo (Eikichi Onizuka and Ryuuji Danma of Shonan Junai Gumi and GTO). Ikki seeks to join the ranks of the Shonan Seven, winners of a tournament in which 7 representatives from each high school in Shonan participate to prove who is the strongest school, accompanied by 7 beautiful matching motorcycles. However, in order to get there, he'll also have to take on any and all challengers gunning for the same spot.
