This manga is really simple. There's no drama, no cliches, no harems, no incompetent protagonist. Don't expect anything crazy going down. This is a nice easygoing romance, so if you're looking for a simple cute romance comedy, this is perfect. Other than that, the comedy is funny. The main characters make a nice couple. Their love is cute and you want to cheer them on. Most of the characters lack personality, i don't even remember most of them. Even the main characters are underdeveloped. There's no back-story, the characters for the most part don't change throughout the series, and it skips large chunks of time. Thismanga goes over the highlights of their relationship, not every single day of their lives like in other romances. The last complaint i got is it's really short. I would have loved it if this was 20 chapter longer. My previous complaint's are a result of this. I suppose it's simplicity is one of this manga's strength's. If you're looking for a cute uplifting romance about normal people, this is a great read.
Sagara Yuuki is a high school student who's shorter than all the other guys in his class. Moriyama Miki is the girl who admires him despite his small stature. Follow the hijinks and the romance between Sagara and Moriyama as they become closer and conquer the obstacles to their love! (Source: Condensation) Included one-shots: Volume 1: Mamotteagetai♥ (I Want to Protect You) Volume 4: Ookami nanka Kowakunai!? Bangai-hen: Valentine nanka Kowakunai!? Volume 6: Mousou♥Virgin (The Delusional Virgin)
If you are looking for a shoujo manga wherein the guy is the coolest/richest/most popular/most handsome/prince like...girl is in a harem situation...love rival that adds flare to the story...MC with traumatic past...dramatic scene that touches your heart...climax chapters that make your heart explode out of excitement...then off you go coz this manga is definitely not the one your looking for. This is an uncomplicated love story of an average boy and an average girl who both experience love for the first time with a lot of silly sometimes troublesome side/supporting characters introduce along the way. Yuuki maybe small but he's really strong and manly, the wayhe act so manly despite his small size makes him more cute rather than cool, he's so adorable I can't blame all the other characters for wanting to tease him...Miki on the other hand can be the typical shoujo manga girl that always get to be harassed, needs to be saved, cries a lot, but she can be fierce when need be, she's very dedicated to yuuki that results to funny mishaps sometimes. All the soccer club member likes her but not in a romantic way, well, some of the member do like her romantically but never really tried to get in the couple's way which I like because I find the couple's relationship to be sweet, innocent, clumsy and light hearted that it doesn't feel right to give them a love rival. What I like about this manga - everything! all the characters are lovable, the senpais are very funny. There are also a lot of scenes that will you make laugh and make you fall in love with the characters. The ending is satisfying too. Will recommend it to someone who wants to read a shoujo manga with no complicated plot, over the top twist but still very enjoyable love story.
Story (9) - I thought the story was excellent. Nothing seemed to rushed, and you weren't left hanging. I enjoyed the simple romance, and the genuine feelings the main couple had for each other. I haven't read much manga that doesn't involve some sort of love triangle or harem aspect, so it was nice and refreshing to read something that was different from that. The sports aspect added some more depth and substance to the plot I think. I enjoy sports themes as well, so it was nice to have some of that mixed in with the comedy and romance.Art (7) - The artwork was average, it didn't really stand out to me in anyway; but was still very enjoyable. Characters (10) - I have to say that all the characters were all outstanding. Some of the characteristics of the main couple surprised me from time to time; it wasn't something I was expecting. It was a good surprise though. The other characters were hilarious, especially the senpai's. My overall enjoyment of this manga is a 10. I'd definitely read it again. I'd recommend it to someone who is looking for a good laugh with some romance and sports elements thrown in as well.
This is definetly another amazing manga! THis one didnt have much of a twist but it was still extraordinoryily great!
This is Ikeyamada Go's first work and it really shows on the drawings and storytelling aspect of this manga. The best example I can give of this are the 4th and 5th chapters. The panels are super confusing to understand and the author couldn't come up with a clever way to end the 5th chapter. However, I absolutely adored the 3rd and 19th chapters. However those little hiccups didn't influence much my overall experience. There's plenty of other reasons why I scored this manga so low. I love soccer/football, I live romance and like high school stories. I'm almost 30 but these themes are still enjoyableto me. The little stories from each chapter got repetitive real fast and had even the "funny stuff" didn't make me laugh much. Neither of the main characters had any sort of development either. But what I absolutely hated about Get Love!! was the glorification of sexual violence and toxic relationships. In Get Love!!, it's perfectly normal and acceptable for any male individual to force himself onto a girl, regardless of consent. It's also perfectly normal to pressure and prevent the girl you're in a relationship with, to wear whatever she wants in public because god forbid if she looks cute in public. It's also perfectly acceptable to bet someone else's body in case you lose whatever bet it is and to punish people who beat rapists up, succeeding in the prevention of a rape occurring. There's so many examples and instances where sexism, sexual violence sexual harassment and abuse were portrayed in a way that romanticizes these disgusting and inexcusable behavious. And the mangaka acknowledged that little elementary school kids read this manga and that didn't make her stop and use this manga to give the example to little boys and little girls to be respectful and respected human beings when they grow up. I honestly cannot recommend this to anyone. I can stomach and enjoy violent mangas with gore and other shocking subjects but to have a "lovey-dovey" story promoting toxic behaviours is just something I cannot praise. It's a 5/10 for me.
