tl;dr: A set of too many intertwining love stories with not enough time spent on any of them. The strange thing about this manga is that there were a number of stories that should be interesting, but that never really amount to much, and hence overall the manga felt quite shallow. There was obviously the main couple, who had issues with their relationship changing and how they would take part in that and that is quite interesting most of the time. However, this story pretty much reaches its end half way through, being followed not too long after by a sudden and pointless time skip, followed by arepeat of pretty much the exact same plot but with more fluff. Now, for the first half of this, the main story is supported by a number of side stories. There were the two distractions, Miyuki for Shirou and Miki for Momoka, but each of those just sort of fizzled out. Miyuki was a story about her seeming to be above love but falling in love anyway, but the ending for that was just really messy and didn't really feel like it was trying to do anything. Miki suddenly became about the true self verses the public self, but it was pretty much all talking in an info dump type fashion without any actual showing, and that too just sort of ended all of a sudden. In addition to these side romance stories focused around the main characters, each of Momoka's two friends also had their own romance stories, and Ruko's was genuinely interesting, but like the main story it ended half way through with the rest of her involvement being fluff. There was also the story of Shirou's sister Kei and marriage, but that only got touched upon at random points rather than feeling like an actual story. Hence, there were a lot of stories that seemed to have character and relationship development attached to them, but for the most part they all felt incredibly superficial and rushed. Now, it may well be possible to have all these stories in four volumes, but the manga spent way too much time on love scenes, and while the art overall was decent to good at times overall, the art for these scenes was more on the only decent side and the scenes themselves weren't that great and not worth how much space they took up considering how much the main stories needed more development, though it did make reading the manga super-fast.
An adult body, but childish heart. Heartrending, but sweet. A somewhat bitter high school love story. (Source: MU)
A borderline-H, slice-of-life manga with likable main characters that's not bad, though there are certainly better. Story: Childhood friendship turns into romance, but the relationship gets thrown into chaos when they start thinking about sex, just as romantic rivals appear on the scene. The story plays out twice: the virginal high school version, and the sex-fueled college version. It's a less-well-done version of Hajimete Datteba, but a whole lot ecchier. Art: Quite good throughout. Especially the sex scenes, if you're into that kind of thing. And if you're not into that kind of thing, probably best to avoid this manga. Character: Themains are quite likable, if pretty dense. The romantic rivals are awful, and add nothing. The friend characters are underdeveloped. Honestly, the best character is probably the main boy's sister, who could use a manga of her own. Enjoyment: I liked it, probably more than it deserved. It's a very fast read. Overall: 7/10 is probably generous, but I did sort of like it despite its flaws, and the artwork and main characters are good enough. If you want plot, or are looking for something reasonably thought-provoking, go elsewhere.
I have actually re-read it, i was wondering why did I put 5/5 in my personal data base well i came to a conclusion that I was a bit hungry at the time for some normal relationship in manga (where you go all bases and timeskips and etc. a change from mediocre romcoms where kissing is the height of build up and sometimes at the end you see a time skip). That said 4/5 new rating subjectively Story 6/10 While at first read through it was unique for me the story after i re-read it was bland nothing to shocking besides the H-scenes which actually take upa lot of chapters considering the manga is short. Though you see some changes some hurdles and struggles of relationship and conflicts within, how some people are afraid of change and learn to embrace it and how some people learn to become self guided rather than guided by others. This story is more about teenagers embracing young adult world of love and sex and sadly that's the main story other life problems are in the background quite distant even. Though what i like is a realistic take, no cliche, real people here though overly sexualized (what is shown at least). Art 8/10 Characters are drawn with more or less real proportions and facial features, background is detailed and realistic. Panels are easy to navigate, speech bubbles are easily recognizable. Characters 7/10 All in all we have Female Lead(FL) and Male Lead(ML) few supports 2 girlfriends from FL and one love rival and from ML side 1 sister and 1 love rival. FL friends are different and one is energy buildozer (extroverted) other one is deep sea (introverted) each one of them helps FL to understand oneself and helps they help to push her own cognitive limit and realize "womanhood"....Love rival is well the same as friends and like small bump on the road to success not so memorable but helps the story push forward. ML side well he is more like a child (love-sex wise) and every possible characters serves as guide for him on this matter but ML was far less interesting love rival was well a conflicted girl (she is a villain turned grey->between bad and good). All in all it's fresh to see that besides FL and ML supports have their own life that goes separate way forward. Enjoyment 8/10 I enjoy seeing life happening in art(movies, books, games and etc.) when you believe what is happening there might actually happen in our world i could finally turn of my brain and simply enjoy a swim though H-scenes might disturb that swim. So if not for too much H-scenes it would 9/10 or 10/10. This genre deserves to be called SLICE OF LIFE you peaked at important moments of other people you learned and you broadened the horizon of you mind. Overall 7/10 It was good, mild and sweet though overly sexualized to my liking. I would be more interested in more slices of life of them becoming adults rather than seeing sex happening (i blank screen would be enough to confirm that their body and mind were connected). This may sound boring but boring is better than drama train without reason as if heaven and hell playing their tunes with two individuals. Though one thing got me wondering is true that women after having unprotected sex understand their partners better? (Gotta research that, sounds kinda scary if true men would need be more chaste too then) -Spoiler-though a small one i think ML is kinda a cheat though there wasn't penetration with love rival they still had quite a few dangerous moments and lastly pussy rub until culmination which is classified as sex in my humble opinion so kudos for girl shame on a guy temptation may be great but a guy can almost always shake the opposite gender off even when aroused (it's hard but hey we are not animals that live by pure instincts).
