The cover draw me in super hard because of the art and I'm glad to say that the art was amazing throughout the whole volume. The premise of the story was pretty interesting IMO, and after just one chapter I was so hyped to continue reading it, I was expecting some things to happen and even tho that would have made the story predictable, it would've been really nice. But the story didn't deliver. I feel like the story created quite some hype but by the end, everything fell flat. At least the romance didn't feel forced, although, the sex scene was... odd, not bad butstill it was odd. Overall is a quick read with great art and handsome looking characters to fawn over, but it doesn't have much substance to it as a story beyond the main plot. I wanted more from it. It also includes an extra story with, I think, different characters, but I can't even tell you what it was about, I haven't read it because I was annoyed that the main story was over so quickly and just like that.
Angels are forbidden from touching a human's soul. But out of curiosity, a rogue angel decides to do it. As punishment, he is kicked out from Heaven and forced to walk among humans. All by himself, the former angel sits on a bench in the cold without any place to go to. That is when a lone shoemaker named Turner Wilson takes him into his home. Despite the nameless man's strange personality, Turner's curiosity only grows when he sees marks on his back. After the supposed angel expresses his desire to travel around the world, Turner lets the man stay with him on one condition: allow the shoemaker to craft him a pair of shoes. In return, the angel asks him to give him a human name: "Benjamin." Their period of cohabitation is only meant to last until Turner finishes his job. However, the budding feelings between the former angel and the human may prolong this living arrangement in a way neither is expecting. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
