I found this one shot by chance (I don't even remember how) and I decided to give it a go ,due to the fact that I loved playing Sekiro. In the end, I'm really happy that I did read it, because I was really interested in hanbei ,but never gave time to sekiro's lore for some reason. His story proved to be really enjoyable ,not something extraordinary or unique ,but still a pretty nice one . The art was nice and clean (nothing else to say about it) Gladly it was not an emotionless oneshot as it had scenes that made me feel stuff ,either sadness or warmth Ialso really appreciated seeing sekiro at the end . I would recommend it to fans of sekiro ,it's a really fun read ,but probably not to people that haven't played the game ,because to them it would be another samurai tale and there are far better samurai tales out there for them.
The Sengoku Era... A time when losing a battle meant losing it all. The Sword Saint, Isshin Ashina, aims for world domination... That is until he encounters a certain samurai... (Source: Yen Press)
Got interested in this after I saw an extra page from the end of the volume of the giant ape fella; I wasn't a big Sekiro fan but with my limited knowledge it looked cool. Simple story following Hanbei, his past and all of that good stuff. Short and simple fights (the artwork's nothing to clamor about most of the time but it serves its purpose well), not exactly a literary masterpiece but the trope characters were cute too. I liked the ending, felt fitting for that somber FROM SOFTWARE tone of the Sekiro universe, though at the same time a little expected (since you know wherehe ends up in the game, of course). Best manga ever: if you're into Sekiro and want to know more about its titular Soulsbro character and some extra lore and visualization on events, give it a read; it is only a pretty quick 8 chapters (though I did stall for a little bit, haha). For others, it'll just depend on how good of a mood you're in for a little fantastical samurai story.
