A basic, formulaic story with art that is overall usually pretty in a classic style. The couple was cute and had some good chemistry, but nothing in this story really stood out to me. The main character's ESP / psychic powers were an interesting, unexpected draw at first, but like most things in this story, fell flat in execution. The crimes were solved easily and didn't really add any tension to the story. There was a creepy age difference of 9 years, with the MC being 17 and the ML being 26. I'm really not sure why the author chose to make her so young,as it had a very minimal effect on the story, and other than a creepy "wait until you're 18 and legal to date" (though they kiss plenty of times before that) plot, the story would basically be the same if she was a few years older, like in her early twenties.
If you're sensitive to this sort of stuff, there's a (possibly transphobic?) plot where a mtf trans woman murders two men (one of them being the doctor that did her transition surgery) who were blackmailing her because they knew her secret. There's misgendering, mentions of her being a man dressed up like a woman and that she's not a real woman. If this sounds triggering to you I recommend you don't read this.
In conclusion, this was a story that had potential but lacked in execution, leading to a lackluster story with problematic elements.
The "Special Crime Investigation Department 007" includes the most capable and extraordinary investigators. Fuyuki, who becomes one of its members is also very capable and she's paired with Kuze--a cool and handsome detective. This pair proves to be the most dangerous one the police headquarters has ever seen!

Keishichou Tokuhanka 007 is a refreshing bit of shoujo manga--for me, anyway. The fact that most of the story is completely unrelated to a school setting is pretty uncommon for the genre, and the morbid/action-packed career of the leads is also unconventional. These contribute significantly to the "originality" of the manga, and I can recommend it on the grounds that it will at least have different subplots/story arcs than most of its peers (if you're like me and constantly fall into reading stereotypical shoujo series). It's also unique in the respect that you don't have to deal with pointless romantic rivals. The maintheme throughout the series is that Fuyuki and Kuze are meant for each other, as each can provide the support and understanding that the other needs. It's so prevalent, even from the outset of the series, that I don't even have to qualify it as a spoiler. In fact, the early development of their relationship goes somewhat unexplained, and I blame the author for not taking more time to flesh out those early stages (I originally thought it must have been written by a man to take so little effort). But the speed of it all can be quite satisfying if you are currently super-done with series taking 50+ chapters to show ANY kind of relationship progress. With this series, you get lots of flirting, hugs, and kisses throughout. It can be silly and absurd--so much that I would laugh from embarrassment at how unrealistic a situation was--but you can't deny the appeal of two attractive characters having strong chemistry. I like straightforward characters, too, so the forward behavior of Kuze was fun for me, and Fuyuki's complete disregard for her own beauty was a relief from the tropes of insecurity or semi-oblivious behavior (i.e. I prefer "geez Kuze is attracting attention" to "~oh my, why is everyone looking at me~**is it because I suddenly became beautiful?? ;*" or "ugh I can never compare to my hot male MC! I need to go on a diet!!!!"). You just get to enjoy the fact that they're good-looking, along with literally every other character in the manga.
Overall, I recommend it as a quick shoujo read. Get in, get out. Enjoy the blatant romance.

Keishichou Tokuhanka 007 is a very exciting and brilliant manga. In some parts it seems very interesting and you want to find out more. The drawings and the character's features are very matching and associate with the story very much. The story and plot itself is very well written. Some scenes have almost nothing to do with other scenes, but once you read it to the end of the chapter or volumn or read the little notes left by the author you'll understand it. I recommend this story to girls and people who want a heart throbbing manga to read. I hope thisreview encourages people to read this manga.
Just saying I personally have read it so many times I've gotten a bit tired of waiting for the next release.

This manga was so good!!! STORY: I really loved it, I thought the story was different what other mangas and I enjoyed it so much! I appreciated it a lot that we got to see into Kuze's back story WITHOUT it being boring or a chapter I wanted to skip– it really added to the plot. I like the more serious approach in this manga. I did have a couple issues with the story though, I felt like there could have been more to Fuyuki's back story, it wasn't entirely clear. I totally thought the research lab was bad until the last couple of chapters, where itended up just being a 'caged' home. Also in the beginning I expected her ESP/telekinesis powers to play a more central role in the story, but it didn't and I thought that was a little disappointing because it could've made it so much more exciting.
Other than that, I really loved this manga, it didn't move too fast or too slow, and there were a lot of cute moments that got me squealing. I think Kuze and Fuyuki's relationship was SO cute, I wish there were more serious moments!! And I totally needed an epilogue scene </3
CHARACTERS:
Character wise, I enjoyed them. I did feel that Fuyuki's personality was a bit too childish, but I guess she did grow up sheltered. There wasn't too much character development... relationships were good.
ART:
Art style is not my favourite, in fact in the first couple of chapters I was hesitant to continue but I ended up doing so and don't regret it! This style is more "serious" in a way and I think it was fine after a while and matched the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and recommend it for a good manga read!

Story: 8 The story was told in a perfect pace - not too slow or too fast. Every chapter had it's own investigation or 'theme' and they fit together pretty well. Also there is romance included but it's not the primary plot but it completes the story. Sometimes there are quite funny moments. Art: 10 I really liked the art of this Manga! It has this kind of 'old' feeling to it, but it's really sharp. Both Kuze & Fuyuki are really good looking and the art style really suits the story. Character: 9 All the main characters are well done, background story is explored in the course ofthe story. Everybody has his own kinks and flaws and that makes it all even better. Also i really liked that Fuyuki is a sharp woman and not too naive like many other 'main girls' in other mangas.

I really enjoyed everything about this manga, even the ending fits it so well!
It's sad that this manga wasn't licensed, i would definitely buy it if it ever gets licensed here.
