At first, I thought this manga was going to be just another typical fan service manga but boy was I wrong. It's super fluffy and filled with lots of awesome interactions. Story: 9/10 The story is pretty simple. The FMC Saeki uses an array of tactics to fall asleep and her seat neighbor Tokimiya observes her and starts to think why she's always sleeping. His interest in her begins to shift as he realizes she just loves to sleep. Character:8/10 The characters in this manga are well developed and very interesting. There were times in the manga when Saeki got a little mad because Tokimiya was observingher too much but later she didn't mind. Tokomiya on the other hand is just an amazing guy. The way he anticipates Seaki's need for sleep is just pure-hearted. His friend Mishima is the best wingman I've seen. There were times he was trying to help Tokimiya with his romance while also focusing on his own romance. Aside from that, the other characters are pretty good. Overall, I enjoyed this manga, the comedy was gold and almost every chapter was Saeki coming up with new ways to sleep and tokimiya even suggesting her ideas. Even though the genre had romance, the author didn't really focus on the romance aspect. The ending was really fluffy and wholesome but it wasn't satisfying. I really wanted them to confess to each other but sadly it didn't happen Saeki did say it's fun being around Tokimiya and she wants to be with him forever. Another thing I liked about this manga was there was no drama, no crying or heartbreaking moments which made it really fun to read. I wish there was an anime adaption, Hopefully, in the future, we will see one.
The class representative, Saeki, uses an array of tactics to sleep during class. Tokimiya, the boy sitting next to her, tends to observe her different tactics and while doing so his interest begins to shift... In other words, Saeki just wants to sleep. (Source: MU)
At first I thought this was going to be your typical fanservice-y manga, but I was very wrong! This manga is a perfect wholesome manga that gives me the warm cozy feelings. It is not particularly ground-breaking in anyway, however it definitely a good read especially if you like fluffy wholesome things. If this was an AO3 fic it would definitely have mutual pining and tooth-rotting fluff tag. But one thing worth mentioning is that both MCs are middle school students so nothing super romantic happens between them which might be a turn off for some people. Even though there wasn't much romance I stillfound the manga very enjoyable.
The following review is in Spanish and English (translated with support from DeepL). The version read is the Spanish translation by “Naik-Sama” of "Knights Mighty. It can be classified as part of that “sub-genre” of school romantic comedy with short chapters dedicated to the daily life between a boy and a girl based on the same joke or interaction. In this case the thematic center constitutes the “good sleep”, Saeki-san, the girl, has the habit of sleeping in the class after lunch without any other student or the teacher suspecting it, only her classmate Tokomiya, the boy, notices it. At the beginning, the chapters only take place atschool and in the classroom, but as the relationship between the two becomes closer, new scenarios will appear, either in other school spaces or outside the school. In fact, I must highlight the dedication of Haruhara Robinson, the writer, for the effort to explore such a simple premise in different scenarios and details, even without intending it, as a reader you will learn different curious facts about sleeping or embark on considering the possibilities of taking a nap in unsuspected places. There is a slightly explored romantic factor, simmering as it happens in this kind of stories, and its comedy is quite innocent, apart from a few boob jokes, most of the punch lines will be about the absurdity Saeki goes to in order to get his longed-for afternoon nap. Still only to a certain extent could he get Robinson's effort, eventually he introduces more characters and subplots to justify one or another chapter, and inevitably we come to his premature end, I don't know if it was the author's decision or if he received the ultimatum, the more I understand why it happened, although what existed can be validated to a certain extent, it can only be so within a limit. For the draw we have You Kokikuji who is within the standards of similar stories, with that eye-catching and clean drawing, a correct positioning to express his comedy, which altogether has given me different panels that I like to send in my daily life, which will get persist in my memory.
