I wonder why they wonât publish this book in other languages. It surely has some answers for your questions about Monster series. It reveals more background stories and what-was-going-on-while-you-werenât-theres which you canât find out just by going back pages. Although I have to admit that it was hard to read a book full of letters, it's worth reading. 349 pages, 26 photo pages, 5 extracted picture pages, 27 sketch pages, 8 ? pages
Another Monster: The Investigative Report is practically a recap in the form of a novel. Now donât go away yet thought, because it might be the best way to do a recap Iâve seen so far. You see, itâs a sort of fictional documentary⌠a report, as the title suggests. We get to follow a reporter who is trying to investigate the horrifying Johan case in fear that there might be another monster like him. Through this investigation he meets and interviews many of the characters from the original storyline of Monster. This is the way the story is recapped, through the characters giving interview aboutwhat happens. This is also why it works so well, as this way you donât feel like youâre re-reading the same thing but rather reading a new one, even if youâre already familiar with most of the plot. And I say most, because another benefit here is that not only it adds another subplot about the other monster, you also get info about what the characters are doing now, later after the conclusion of the original storyline. A well done way to refresh your memory of the plotline elements while also adding extra info makes this a worthy read if youâre a fan of Monster, which Iâm sure plenty of people are. Of course, you should not read this if youâre not familiar with the parent story, be it the manga or the anime, but that should be obvious.
