Parfait Tic is one of my fav mangas out there! Personally I love the story line from Vol 1 up to around 15.. It is refreshing and super funny in the earlier volumes, where the characters are still friends with each other. But it became draggy especially the part where Fuuko starts crying about Ichi and so on. I love the way the author plans the story, where she focuses on the development of the character's feelings throughout...As a reader, I can empathise with the characters since their feelings were well developed in different stages. Also, I love the way the author uses symbolic itemsto represent the story and character's feelings. Plus..her artwork is SPLENDID!! Especially at the later volumes, Ichi and Daiya looks hot and Fuuko is very pretty too! A very mature drawing skills is inevitable.
Fuuko is a happy and cheerful girl. One day, two cousins, Daiya and Ichi, move into the apartment upstairs. Cold Ichi and mischievous Daiya gave a very bad first impression. All three are going to the same school as well. How will Fuuko's high school life turn out? Included one-shot: Volume 1: Frill Volume 2: Happy shiteru? (Are you Happy?)
To tell you the truth, I was ANNOYED at this... It started out fine for the first 40 or so chapters, but it got annoying because I could predict the worst things for me that would happen and IT FREAKING HAPPENS! It's a pretty okay manga and all but she just kept switching guys and it pissed me off that when she was with the guy she liked first, she suddenly starts liking the other and.. you know I won't go on cause this might contain some spoilers... The only thing I liked about this is the art really... and the character development is pretty good... but personally,I don't like this manga.
Overall, Parfait Tic was a pretty good manga. At first, the characters seemed very likable, but as the story continued on, it became a very sweet manga to a story plot that repeated itself. I got so sick of seeing 2 chapters of laughter and a happy love life, then 5 - 10 chapters of the heroine crying her eyes out and the two boys trying to sweep her off her feet again. Luckily, I got to the end before I threw my Ipad down.
This is really one of my favourites. You should know that I don't really read many mangas. I often start some and soon lose interest in them. But with this one it was different. I couldn't stop reading and it drove me crazy to have to wait months, yea even years to finally read the ending today. It's hard not to spoiler on this one, but I'll try. The characters are awesome, they could be real. All of the story could be real. That's probably the reason I like that manga so much. The one thing bugging me a little is that the protagonist couldn't decideon what she wants and that the guy she likes couldn't really make good decisions either. BUT the worst thing: I couldn't stop crying. I was constantly crying. Sometimes because things were cute, in the end especially because they were sad. The ending is a little bit unsatisfying, but it could have been worse. All in all I really do recommend reading this manga! It was gorgeous! I am sure I will read it again one day (if I can bear all the crying :D).
What I like about PT is that Fuuko is realistic and it's easy to feel sympathy for her. She does a brilliant job of showing how you can mature and grow from each crush that you have. Plus, I found it very difficult to side with either male counter-part. When you think that the energetic and fun-loving Daiya is the one, quiet, arrogant Ichi shows his softer side and sweeps you off your feet. Sigh, you'll find yourself in the love triangle in no time.
