Hmm... Took me a while to rate it, since I'm just so conflicted over it. The invisibility idea is great, and its execution had me thoroughly interested, but the main characters... ugh. Story: 8/10. I guess I'd have given it a 10 if not for the ending, just felt distasteful. Still gets an 8 for concept atleast. Art: 10/10. It is pretty basic, but it just felt perfect for this kind of story. Character: 4/10. Ahhh, the part where it went wrong. At first I liked the dynamic between them, but it got annoying really quickly. The girl literally never tries to even SPEAK to the guy, and this dumbass of aguy just keeps, KEEPS going to her to initiate everything. I'm fine with that much, some people just don't do much on their own. Fair. But then this bitch keeps refusing. YEESH That is seriously annoying. I'm quite surprised MC never flipped her off. It fits the premise, sure, and adds to the fun sometimes. But her level is simply too shitty. Here's a few particularly annoying examples: 1. She makes cookies for him, can't tell him, starts remarking how they are SO tasty, but she can't finish them herself. MC picks up on her hint and asks for some, since she has so many. She proceeds to eat all the cookies and say "Too bad, no leftovers for you". ... ... Why. And this guy is so desperate to make her happy he eats the single lone cookie that fell off when she ate. 10/10 character building. And *SPOILERS here* Another infuriating aspect is she laments their awkward state she caused in the past when someone joked of them dating, she said she only spoke to him out of pity, and there's no way she'd date him. Ouch, okay, bad enough, but fine, maybe she'll grow and correct her mistake...? right? NOPE. In the second last chapter, someone says it again, and yet again, she says she can't stand him, and there's no way she'd date him... Girl, I thought you regretted saying ti before deeply. How do you say it again by reflex... Atleast I hoped she'd apologize, or the guy would tell her he knows her true feelings, tells her to be honest, or SOMETHING, but nah he just tells her he likes her. Till the end, she does nothing while he does enough to drive any sane person to kick her out of their lives. There's good ones with a theme of not progressing the relationship themselves, like Kaguya-Sama. Both love each other and never say it, but atleast they try to make plans to get the other one say it. That was fun. This.... I'd have given it a 1 if not for the superbly fun invisibility. Enjoyment: 9/10. Through all its faults, I can't deny enjoying the invisible moments to madness. Easy 10 if not for the characters themselves... Overall: 8/10 Still worth a read. If you can tolerate the girl, this would be a great manga for sure. Even if you can't, I'd say its still somewhat worth finishing, though it did leave a sour taste in the end.
Touka Aizuki is girl who can turn invisible and no one can see her except for one person, Ryoutarou Mimori. Even though she is physically invisible, her love is completely visible! (Source: MU)
I'll get right to the point for this. The manga has interesting ideas, I really like the main characters, but they run with an idea that they do not go beyond the basics of. No spoilers, since its just a very quick thing about her invisibility. This is what I was talking about with the idea they had. They got the idea, and they only rolled with what was comfortable with it, and in the end the conclusion I got from it all wasn't satisfying in the least. I would've loved to see it used more creatively. Its basically a stalker who can stalk easier in public dueto her power and they throw them in a punch of basic situations that only once or twice take full advantage of what could happen. They hardly interact with each other while she is invisible (as in accidental physical contact, they minimize that and you can really see how basic it is as it goes on as they keep doing the same thing), and it just sort of feels like the mangaka just ends up rushing the ending.
This is pretty bad huh Reading this feels like a waste of genuine time. I have so many problems with this shit. First, the story. The story's pretty generic, yet it wasn't really executed well. It has so much wasted potential with characters giving out unnecessary information that wouldn't get mentioned again. And what I hate about it the most is it's premise of the girl being invisible and the only guy who can see her. Why? Why did it happened? No idea. The story didn't give out any reason why tf. And it didn't help by how repetitive the story became after 5 or so chapters. It wouldhave been better if no one was able to see the girl, it would've lead to more interesting scenarios and more heartfelt moments. Imagine the possibilities smh Instead, what we got is a trash romcom that gets resolve in the most anticlimactic way possible, with rushed development and shitty outcomes. The characters are pretty bad. The main character is very inconsistent on what he wants to be. Same goes for the heroine. How the f*ck did they changed so much in the last chapter? No idea. Just shows what rushed character development can do to a story. I mean, if the heroine could muster that courage within a day, then why didn't she do so back then. It's insulting since you can just read chapter 1 then jump to the last chapter and you wouldn't lost any sort of context or development cause there aren't any. The developments came outta nowhere. I just hate the characters. And when I don't hate them, I find them forgettable. The art is average at best. The panelling is what makes this manga readable, the art is just wonky most of the time. The enjoyment I had with this insufferable piece of manga is non-existent. I enjoyed chapter 0 more than the series itself. And that says something to the quality of the series. The jokes didn't land very well, and with the same repetitive formula, there's no chance that anyone can laugh at this. I mean, just thinking of the possibility that "what if the guy can't see the girl at all? Then all he sees on that girl is her mean demeanor. If that's me, then I'd probably just never talk to her again." makes me feels bad man. Overall, a series that isn't really worth checking. (3.5/10)
The story was really good and I would give full 10 score for that but at some points it kind of feels like the author was rushing the story a bit. Sure there was few filler chapters and unlike other rom-com manga there was no side stories for characters and considering this does state that the author tried to kept the story focus to the main couple and the secret they share. I enjoyed each and every chapter... In addition to that thereβre one major disappointment, like how fast the author ended the story in end. There could have been a lot of stuff added about reviling the secretor the Ryoutaku-san show how tell Aikawa-san directly. If possible I would have really loved if there could have been few chapters where the couple of the story could team up by using the invisibility and do some fun things. (If you just had a lewd though you read last para, then your mind is just dirty π)
Story 7/10 This story is very simple in comparison to most other manga, especially that in the romance department but it was very enjoyable throughout. Despite being so short we learn so much about the characters and their development alongside each other. Art 6/10 It's a very simplistic and cutesy art style and despite not being the most eye catching or beautiful art out there, it works very well for the story. Character 7/10 Anyone besides the main two characters honestly might as well not exist but the two lovers make up for it. They're simple, easy to understand and easy to relate to. Enjoyment 9/10 This story is one of mynew favorites for when I'm wanting something short, sweet and simple. Throughout my reread recently, I really never stopped reading and just stayed hooked. Overall 9/10 Though It's not anything groundbreaking, I would definitely recommend this to anyone whos a fan of the romance genre or anyone who's looking to get into romance series. Simple, sweet and fun.
