A diffusion disease is the best take on life ive ever seen, only rivaled by punpun, but since its so criminally unknown i just had to review this masterpiece. Story - 10/10 The story is amazingly written with phenomenal depth, the main theme its trying to get across is "we are oscillated' and escapism which is first symbolized when kaachan.... diffuses. the concept itself is very unique. Art - 10/10 Easily one of, if not, my favorite artsyle of all time. each panel is drawn with highly detailed and realistic art. this manga could be a art book just on its own. enjoyment - 10/10 i love everything about this manga, every page leaves you turning quickly to the next. trust me. you wont get bored reading this. so in conclusion: Read A diffusion disease!!!!!!!!!!!!
Katsuhiko Tobe faces an odd dilemma. Losing control of his physical self, his body diffuses into nothingness as his disembodied consciousness flows throughout the world constantly contemplating both the world and his current situation. Meanwhile, his best friend Azami Seshimo waits in their native Japan for Katsuhiko's return. (Source: ANN)
this manga was really interesting, i read it as a very literal metaphor for depression & suicidal ideation. it's a little surreal but the story is very potent and it's hard not to read it all in one sitting, i was definitely gripped by it instantly. the art is absolutely gorgeous and very distinct among manga, everyone has a very recognizable and consistent face, like a real person would... there's almost a Kentaro Miura feel to the style, especially when it comes to the scary visual elements. i think this is an amazing manga and a must-read for anyone who has ever thought, "i wish icould just disappear, but i am afraid to die."
