Mountain of Gods: Precipice of the Unknown is another really good and original work by Junji Ito. This story is pretty unique, in the way that it's told in a informal 'stories shared by a group people inside the fictuos world'. Aka these stories are told by some hikers inside the story, and i really enjoyed this part of the manga, it was really cool. The horror aspect is really good, and even though it goes for shock value many times, it still very creepy. It builds a lot of suspense to the point where we feel like detectives deciphering the story piece by piece, making this really fun to read. The art is as always, amazing; I say it and again, but Junji Ito is a master artist, all of his artwork in every manga he makes is a masterpiece of horror and beauty. All of his artwork is a 10/10. I do need to say though, it's really good, but it's not that impactful, its really good at the moment, but it's fairly forgettable. Especially compared with other Junji Ito mangas. But overall, still a great horror piece. I give Yama Kaidan a 8/10
Horror manga anthology by various mangaka adapting Azumi Junpei's ghost stories about mountains.
