First of all -the plot: The world was threatened by the demon king typhon. On the edge of annhilation of the human kind the world was saved by the fiend summoner Homura who was branded as traitor afterwards because of his ability (as the name implies) to summon demons. The world unification administration was founded to fight the remaining demons. Five years later Homura returns to his homeland japan and is asked to join the new tokyo magic academy and to observe and support the students in their fight against the demons. What can be said to this manga- well it belongs to the harem/ecchigenre. The plot is quite stereotype- nothing you haven’t read before so don’t expect to be overtaken by it. The manga lives from the numerous attractive girls and from „mister cool“–the main character Homura. Homura is not only totally cool but also totally overpowered which leads to rather short and boring fights. To reinforce further clichés the mighty Homura is quiet lonely- how sad or put it another way: *yawn*. Needless to say that everybody falls more or less in love with him- well as I mentioned its harem. Most of the characters aren’t really interesting but rather superficial -ok, there are just 8 chapters and it’s quite hard to build up a complex character in such a short time but some one shots have greater character development as this manga. I haven’t read the light novel so I can’t comment on the further development. But this manga is easy to read especially because there is no need to think about a possible hidden meaning of the things said or done. If you have too much time to spare and you like ecchi- feel free to read "ultimate antihero"
When humanity was threatened 5 years ago, the boy who saved the world was driven to despair and became regarded as the enemy of all of mankind. And now a new crisis approaches humanity. The curtain rises on a gallant drama about a hero falsely charged.
What happens when all you did was save humanity but was branded a traitor for that, had your powers sealed away, and was hated by everyone on the planet? What happens when you were just 12 years old when this happened to you? Story-I got to say,the story was intriguing. With only 8 chapters and being an adaptation of the light novel, this one does an awesome job of getting you hooked and wanting more(thus taking you to the light novel). Our MC once saved the world but as thanks he was branded a traitor and ostracized. His only companion is now a little girl that is literally his "sword and shield".Then hegets a request to join a school by one of the few people on earth who still trusts him reluctantly he agrees to stay for one year. What happens from then on?Read and find out. Art-The art was crisp and clear and for the most part good.It could have used a little more detail for the demons. Character-Again with only 8 chapters it's kinda impossible to get any real character development done.I loved the MC.A lazy, thick skinned,self-proclaimed lady killer who's powers are mostly sealed away by the world government*cough*yeah right*cough*. Enjoyment-I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this manga.Sure it was rushed and didn't explain much, since it was basically an ad for the light novel but the humor was definitely there. The MC is a total OP bad ass when he wants to be.Someone who is both feared and admired and is called as the Fiend Summoner. His blunt companion Bell(who's a magical artifact that can take many forms but mostly appears as a little girl) constantly criticizes both him(for his kindness) and the government for running to him for help when it suits them and throwing him away later is a comic relief. Overall-I would say read this manga if you got some time to spare. You will like it but it will be over before you can get committed to it.
