This is one intense BL manga with yakuza theme. The story is interesting and well written. The sex scenes were so well drawn, steamy, passionate and hot. Plus the uke actually looked like a guy. But the story touches on a really dark subjects (child abuse, suicide attempt, rape…) so it’s not for everybody. Both characters are really troubled individuals but their relationship is amazing. They saved each other. This manga definitely deserves higher score but I’m a sucker for fluffy, cute, maybe cheesy and sweet stories and this one was just too heavy for me and I didn’t really enjoy it so I’ll give ita 6.
This a very steamy, pretty dark, touching story about relationship ties and personal responsibility. What I like about it: 1. It's dark, but not too dark. But it's pretty dark. 2. The characters aren't remotely your typical seme or uke. In fact, they're almost the exact opposite of what you'd expect for their role. 3. It's unpredictable and surprising. You think you know what's what and then it all gets turned upside down. 4. The sex scenes were very creative, erotic, and emotional. This story was surprising in its complexity and the way it made me truly care for the characters. The coverlead me to believe it was going to be pure smut and while it's pretty smutty (in the best way possible), it's also very deep and emotional. I did get wrapped up in the story and really like the characters by the end, particularly Tatsuyuki. He's pretty awesome. He's hard not to like. He's badass and snarky yet protective and sensitive. I really liked that everything got turned upside down partway through it. I thought I had a handle on what was what and who was who but then it all changed and became completely different but for reasons that totally made sense. It was a refreshing change to be surprised like that. The artwork was really quite good. I really liked the way she captured Tatsuyuki's emotional facial expressions, particularly his eyes. The sex scenes were really well done. They were detailed and graphic without being gross. They were erotic and emotional at the same time. There was a lot of sex in this one but as I said above, it was really well done and very erotic and creative. I think I'd say that this was in my top two of sex scenes yaois. Overall, it's in my top three and I highly recommend it.
After his visits to a rather special chiropractor come to an end, the Ooyamato group's fourth head, Tatsuyuki, experiences the heartbreak of unrequited love. He spends his days neglecting his duties in favor of wallowing in his sorrow. In order to help him recover, his caretaker Asoda sends him to one of the group's branches in Fukuoka. There, he does his best to return to his old self—playing around in the city, visiting host clubs and prostitutes, and drinking profusely. One night, drunk out of his mind, he mistakes a stranger on the street for the object of his affections. Tatsuyuki wakes up the next morning hungover and in the bed of the stranger, a man who claims to know him. Nozomi Koga is a preschool teacher and survivor of childhood abuse. Having fallen in love with Tatsuyuki when they were children, he has spent his life waiting to again meet the young yakuza boy that once comforted him—and now that he's here, Nozomi does not plan to let him go. But with the appearance of an untrustworthy loan shark, Uichi Rogi, and the issue of Tatsuyuki's lingering feelings for his "Minori-sensei," can Nozomi win over Tatsuyuki's heart? I like when the portrayed people who went through things actually display how that affected their behaviour and them as a person. Especially when they are shown as moraly grey characters or plain bad people. That's simply just realistic. One thing that this story depicts well is definetly that- how a person who used to be abused develops obsessive behaviours that keep him alive. The portrayal of it though sometimes comes off as "comedic" which rubs me a bit the wrong way but i guess that's what makes the story even possible to be read? It touches apon very serious and hard to stomach topics thatare at times presented extremely well with a lot of emotions and nuances and at times completly brushed off and poorly executed. The pacing also doesn't make sense sometimes. One of the best scenes was the sucidal attempt in the sea. To not disclose too much spoilers it was simply well done, both with the actions that came before and after it. Though something completly unnecessery was a whole character hastly introduced for the sake of the mc (the object of obsessive behaviour) being assaulted many times? The depiction of it being so detailed and graphic was also completly unnecesery but i guess that's erotica for you. The problem is that the character who is responsible for that doesn't have much role in the story otherwise? Spoiler i guess? The only way i could see it having any sense is that it confronts the guy with trauma with his loved one facing the same thing? And the concluding conversation where he fully acknowledges his own wrongdoings towards the mc. Either way, the term "mixed feelings" describes this story ratgher well.
This side peace manga is better than the original, sorry to break it to you, but yes please do read this manga! Its worth it! A wholesome manga which follow the main characters life from the original manga. This time its the present time where he meet up with a new person, whom apparently is someone he already had a history with from the past. Very wholesome, yet dark and twisted story. Well written to be such a short manga. Still not my favorite drawing style sadly, like i don't understand the elf-ears on the main character, but oh well haha... Very erotic like the main mangaas well, but with more passion and more love this time. Overall very good, read it! :)
