If you like blushing tsunderes, this manga is for you. And by blushing, I don't mean those thin, three-lined blushes that artists put in when a character is happy/around friends. I mean like, THICC blushes, across the whole face, just covered in lines. There's 50% of the panels for you, just Hazuki blushing furiously. And I think that deserves a 10/10 in itself. The story and characters are pretty standard, nothing really outstanding. However, I surely enjoyed the HECK out of this. I highly recommend this manga for anyone looking for some laid-back slice-of-life comedy with some really good art.
My rating of 7 isn't meant to convince you not to read this, this is pretty good. It's not especially long, and it's a pretty standard slice-of-life romance. There are a few curveballs thrown in, but otherwise it's pretty generic. Good generic though. My issue with this comes from my feeling that several of the main characters seem undeveloped as the story progresses. Kanon herself gets the vast majority of the focus, and fair enough she is the main character, but I'd have liked to have seen more development of the rest of the cast. A slice-of-life lives and dies on the quality of it's maincharacters, and while the other main characters aren't quite stiff caricatures like they could be, they're just a *little* underwhelming. Still, this is a recommendation from me though, this is a fairly short and contrary to the title sweet story. Worth a read.
Hazuki Kanon is your average female high school delinquent. She is often late and skips class in the nurse office, occasionally talking to the male nurse BJ (Kuroanada Jun). Tamaki Daichi likes to film stuff that captivates him the instant he encounters it, disregarding consequences. His friend Kihou Tomoka tries to snap him out of it, whenever she sees him stuck while he is late for something else. One day Kanon catches his interest while she stands on the roof of the opposite building. After asking Tomoka, he decides to head to the infirmary where Kanon sleeps occasionally. Kanon wakes up to some strange guy filming her. He even has the audacity to call her "thumb-suckling while sleeping" cute and captivating. So she decides to let him keep the footage if he promises to keep her secret. (Source: MU)
Before i start i want to state that i don't think this is a bad manga. It's just that tell around chapter 15 it is kind of boring. I like the MC/Delinquent and the Nurse the most. I'd rather the story and them forming a relationship over the Delinquent falling in love to the boy in this. The Delinquent and the Nurse are easily the most entertaining of them all. Watching them bantering back and forth is funny and their humor is great. They are a much better couple then the camera boy. I even think that a Yuri relationship between the Delinquent and the school Presidentis better then the camera boy ( I'd love this by the way cause who doesn't like Yuri ?) The boy ( I can't remember anyone's name ) is not that likable and is just eh. At least for the majority of the story he's like that. He's more of just a blank person with really bland character traits. Besides the story have a pretty bad start. The only thing that bugged me could be seen as minor. I'm talking about how the story went and did one of the most cliche things in Anime. Have the mother be dead cause of X. It's just not needed and the story wouldn't have suffered if they just completely removed it. The art i find to be really nice and i think the Delinquent is adorable. Kind of a shame that this is were we will end her character and her design. Unless the author puts her in one of his other works. Overall a decent manga with an eh start.
