When you think about demons, the word "adorable" usually doesn't pop up first. However, Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama manages to perfectly convey that demons can be in fact adorable (although they may no be your conventional ones). And as someone who loves adorable things, I was bound to love this manga. A common thing with many wholesome manga, is that the story mainly revolves around the daily lives of the characters, and this story is no exception. Although these characters daily life may not be incredibly eventful, it is still a joy to read about them and their situations. However, the one issue with this isthat there is very minimal development story-wise throughout the manga. This could annoy a lot of readers, especially if they are expecting to see significant development during their read. Nonetheless, for me personally, the story was still plenty of fun without needing major story development. Of course, I still would've loved to see more of this story, especially past the final chapter. But even so, I really liked this simple story, focusing mainly on conveying the adorableness of the characters, which was done superbly. I love matoba's art. They have a rather distinct style, with their art being incredibly adorable and cute. The character designs are also as equally adorable, each being unique and really appealing. The character expressions were full of life, and really helped make each page so much more adorable. The entire environment with the great backgrounds also helped emphasize the adorableness of this entire manga. To put it simply, the art is just like the entire manga: adorable. By now, you probably could've guessed that the characters are incredibly adorable. Their personalities perfectly complement each other, and make every interaction be incredibly wholesome. Seeing all of these characters together simply brings a smile to my face. To make short, these characters were great, and really helped make my reading so much more fun. They were the life of this manga, and I love every single one of them. Also, out of all characters, I just want to point out Beelzebub specifically. This girl is simply too adorable!!! Every panel she was in was filled with cuteness, and her relationship with Myurin was simply heartwarming. Also, her love for anything fluffy was really cute (and something I could relate too). After finishing reading this series, she became one of my favorite characters, simply by how adorable she is. Overall, I really enjoyed this manga. It's, as I repeatedly mentioned, incredibly adorable. I always had a good time while reading this series, seeing all of the fun and cute situations the characters were getting themselves into. This manga is wholesome and adorable, which makes for a very enjoyable read. Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama is a manga that will always make you feel warm inside. The adorableness of all the characters will simply melt your heart as you follow their day to day lives. So if you love fluffy things just like Beelzebub, you'll surely love this manga. It's fluffy and cute, which is all it took to make me love it.
Cute, adorable, and fluff-loving aren't words used to describe a demon, much less Beelzebub, the revered right hand of Satan. Nonetheless, Beelzebub is a beauty who loves anything and everything fluffy—her dream is to become fluff itself. The terrible Beelzebub rules over Pandemonium in Satan's absence. Oversleeping, lazing around, and getting distracted by fur balls, she provokes reactions from her guards and entourage who think of her as an elegant, merciless, and meticulous leader. Her new assistant, Myurin is caught amidst it all. Looking forward to working alongside his idol, he is the subject of her innocent and carefree teasing, his heart relentlessly being played with. But what exactly is Myurin to Beelzebub, and what place does he hold in her heart? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
I just finished reading this manga, after binging it for a few days. Highly recommend this to enjoyers of the romcom genre. Its a slice of life romcom with fantasy aspects, with like all of them being demons in the demon world, but to be honest the world is pretty similar to just Japan(not that that is a bad thing). The main couple is between Beelzebub and Mullin, who is her attendant, but there are also a few other couples and a bunch of recurring characters. Similar to most romcom manga, its pretty episodic(idk if that word works for chapters), so that might be somethingyou enjoy or not. Anyways, this is probably one of the best romcom manga I have read, for a variety of reason. For one, its a lot of fluff, there are no harems or love triangles, and not a lot of drama. So if you want like a really spicy dramatic romance manga, this probably isn't for you. But it is definitely for you if otherwise. The characters are all really likeable, my favorite character is Sam, I don't know why but I love him, but he's a great dude. The couples are all really cute, and the side couples do get quite a bit of focus and aren't completely clouded by the main couple. There isn't a whole lot of story, and there aren't really any "arcs", so I'd say time is basically just measured by the romantic progression of the characters. Well that is basically it, it is a pretty simple manga at its core, so I hope you will read it and enjoy it.
Per the synopsis, this manga is almost entirely focused about cute and fluffy things, particularly Beelzebub herself. It is a quintessential romcom slice of life story, focusing more on the cute side of the characters and their interactions. The world isn't explored much, and you would easily forget that it's supposed to take place in hell, but this is a non-issue for those looking for the character interactions, which there are plenty of. The story is practically non-existent as many other slice of life stories, but the main focus is between the characters and how they interact with each other. Their personalities are all focused onthe cute side, and the way they play off each other practically always leads to even more wholesome and adorable reactions and interactions throughout the whole manga. To try to avoid spoiling too much, the story takes a slightly dramatic and drastic twist near the end, which could put you off if you aren't too invested in the characters, but everything before is essentially drama-free. The art style is very pleasant to look at, and the characters especially are drawn adorable, each in their own way, and it makes sure that you notice. Characters are drawn very distinctly from each other, and the backgrounds are drawn to perfectly blend in with the characters, feeling like a completely unique environment wherever the current story is taking place. If you're looking for a really cute slice of life story with little drama up until the end, then this would be a great manga to read. If you're not into the overly cutesy style, you may get tired of it quickly with the repetitive nature of the story, yet I would still recommend giving it a chance at least if you're interested.
