This was absolutely delightful. Story - girl comes to new school, where there are "teams". The whites and blacks, who appear to hate eachother. She vows to change this, and in this task wins over a whole range of characters. It is a common story line, but one which never fails to please me! Art - the art was fine. I did have trouble telling a few of the blonde boys apart, which was a shame. Other than that it was clear, the expressions were great. characters - for such a short series (5 volumes) I thought that the characters were well developed. There are4 main characters, and a whole suite (well, at least 5) minor characters, who are clearly drawn. Character wise, art wise see above ;_; I did want to know more about the uncle! enjoyment/overall I really like this story! It is sweet and funny in turns. It has drama, and a few twists which I didn't see coming. It has high re-read potential, as it is totally a feel good. I wish that there could have been romantic resolution at the end BUT the ending does suit the story.
Hina's new high school is strange to say the least. She moves back to her old home town only to find that the high school is run by two opposing factors, and students identify themselves based on the color of their school uniforms: Black for the followers of the loud, violent Nishizaki, and white for the followers of quiet, clean-freak Isshiki. And then there are the "grays," who wear street clothes. Hina finds herself stuck between the leaders of the two factions, and it seems to be turning violent. As one might guess from the girly art and the Ribon publisher, the plot develops a romance element pretty early on in the series. There's a love triangle involved among two of the group leaders. Who will Hina choose? (Source: MangaDownloads)
I gave it a 8 as it is very enjoyable and emotional that I cried a lot when I read this, but I can't give it a 10 because it has everything that any other shoujo manga has. A girl who's lucky enough to get so many guys to like her because she's strong and is willing to make a difference. I still personally think that this manga is very underrated because it's one of the darker shoujo mangas that deserve more attention from the public.
This manga is suitable for people who like stories about friendship. Romance is very little in this Manga, so if you love Romance. Don't read this! Story - The story is about Hina and her past. As the story progress one by one her memories were being recovered from the past. And she was able to meet new friends and allies. Art - It's good, Hina's drawing is getting much better as the manga continues. But the guy's appearance almost looks the same (the hair shading is the only difference esp. the two leaders) Enjoyment - Yeah, In this part I can give it a perfect score. It'sa shoujo manga with comedy and action. *Try reading this it's a good story*
Story: 10/10 without a doubt. Not only is it original, the catch [being the different colored uniforms] is unbelievably...catchy! Once you start, you're like a fish on a hook who can't get away unless you hurt yourself. If you stop the series half-way to go to sleep, for example, you will crave it once you wake up. Another thing is that this shoujo manga is about the guys falling for the girl and not vice-versa. Art: It's very "shoujo". How big the eyes were and how wide the face can get pretty annoying but it's nothing to fret over. The mini characters that appeared every once in awhile were soo cute. ^^ Can't say much about the art. Characters: Here's a shoujo manga where the main female character doesn't want a boyfriend. That's rare... "Piyoko" was a hard-headed girl who was determined to turn the whole school into greys while unraveling the contents of Isshiki's heart. She doesn't do it because she likes him as a possible boyfriend, but out of curiosity. Isshiki is a germaphobe who is fairly detestable. Even after explaining himself, i found him annoying and selfish. Nishizaki is just Nishizaki. The typical bully who is good-looking and strong. As for Tetsuta, he's very happy and brought life to the manga. He stole Hina's first kiss, gave her a nickname and fell in love with her. He's an original character that kept things moving. Overall: A very funny, unique, addicting manga that is a must read by shoujo lovers.
