The way the story started, I expected to have something amazing happen in the end but well. Where do I start with this one? It's good, for the most part. A lot of luck but the author try to stick with survival as much as they can and it's always interesting to see how mc manages to get out of dangerous situations. It got boring sometimes because of how ridiculous certain scenes were but overall entertaining. The problem really comes when other people are introduced. I was fine with the girl because it created a good dynamic between the two and we could see some prettygood character development for the both of them. He's always been alone and got used to it and the survival way while she's always been with other people and is weak and needy. Frankly that should have been explored more and the author should have spent more time with them on the island. There was also something to do with the survivors in the other island. But instead of that we got a weird stuff with the american army and some type of Japanese nationalism, it was just weird. It went from a survival story to something completely crazy and I was just reading to see where it goes. Man was that ending disappointing. It makes absolutely no sense at all. The way everything is set up is so bad I wonder if the author was on drug. It's really that second part that ruined it for me. By removing the survival aspect the story lost its essence. That's why I have mixed feelings about it.
"Could you survive in the wilderness that has lost all civilization?" A huge earthquake occurs while Satoru and his friends are exploring a cave. After somehow making it to the surface, Satoru is shocked by the scene that lays before his eyes. From that day on, the lonely battle for survival begins! (Source: Manga Box)
I lost track of this manga long ago but now that I found it again makes me very joyful. I thought the story would be more sadder and unsuspected as it approached to the end but I guess it wasn't like I expected, but i anyway liked how all ended. I don't thing an ending with Satoru meeting with his family once again wouldn't be any good for the manga to end, i think the mangaka did good on how it ended the manga because of the way it ends relies on the imagination of what the reader want to imagine what it should happen after. Insummary the manga doesn't give you the feel of ``what to do next´´ or that empty feeling after finishing something, instead it gives you the vibe of a story that doesn't have an end ''yet''. ps don't mind this review, I am just practising the way i write just like an sketch of a drawing before you come the real deal.
