The first few chapters were great, I'll give it that. Starting the story with a persistent and confident female lead, but is actually an elementary schooler isn't something I often see and it interested me. But it soon went downhill. (Enjoyment went from 10 to 5 super fast). Trying to avoid spoilers here. Story (6/10): The plot was cute at first but it felt like trying so hard to make new plot twists along the way. It's too unrealistic in more ways than one (not that a too realistic story is good), it feels rather forced. It could've ended in a sweet ending after 10-20 chapters but they kindof forced it to make the story longer than it should have. (Also, there's something in the later chapters that contradicts the first few ones) Art (8/10): I'll be honest, this isn't my favorite art style, but I still think the art is good and quite consistent throughout the series. Also, the mini characters in a few panels are adorable. Though, I sometimes get confused of Koharu's height. Character (6/10): Strong female lead, has strong standing, tries her best to swoon her S/O, but can also have weak points at time. I have mixed feelings for Seara. She has a strong determination, but the part that her whole life is only focused on getting Shuhei irks me. Shuhei is annoying, to say the least. He's a dislikable character but is soon justified by a reasoning that makes sense. I lost track of how many characters were introduced in the later chapters, also why do all of them have the same type? Enjoyment (7/10): The story is a little relatable and sweet but the new character additions turn me off. To be fair, I'm not a fan of harem but this is just way too forceful. But since I'm a sweet tooth and give generous scores, I'll give it a 7 to appreciate the author in a way. TIP: this isn't suited for reading in a go (binge) I read it in a day (more than one seating tho) and regretted Minor SPOILER question: It was stated that Seara never missed any match that Shuhei had in the past. But how is it that Shuhei and Rai forget someone he sees so often (I know Shuhei isn't good at remembering faces and she did have a growth spurt)? Is it assumed that Seara stopped going there at one point or did she grow too fast that they can't recognize her even if she went to see? This is one of the two questions i have
As a little girl, Seara fell in love with Shuuhei, an older boy, but he looked down on her. Years later, when her parents temporarily relocate to the US, Seara takes the opportunity to move into the same house as him. Since Seara looks alot older than she actually is, Shuuhei doesn't recognize her right away. Will he ever recognize her? Will they ever find true love? (Source: Solaris-SVU)
