The Last: Naruto the Movie

Its not that the anime is mediocre. Its just that i already got my hands on the movie. So i pretty much glazed through the pages. The art is good as always. Typical kishimoto, and distinct from other manga(that what makes it naruto right XD) no comments on the character lol. Every one knows naruto As for enjoyment, i had a thought that maybe if the art was a bit better, the manga would have been definitely more enjoyable. To me, better than the movie. overall rating would suffive at 6 for me, of course because the movie was premier to me, but also because the manga could havegeared up on several other aspects

A light novel that serves as a direct continuation of Naruto. This work basically presents the same plot as the film The Last, so don't expect major narrative changes or new events. The story structure is practically the same, following the development of the relationship and the central events that serve as an important bridge within the Naruto universe. Even so, there's an interesting point here: the reading experience. Unlike the film, where everything is already visually constructed for you, the light novel demands imagination. And this significantly changes how the story is absorbed. Reading without knowing exactly how each scene will unfold, imagining expressions, settings, andmoments, ends up giving a more personal and, in some cases, even more impactful feeling. Personally, I felt that some moments had more weight precisely because of this. Reading creates a different kind of involvement, less direct than audiovisual media, but more intimate. Perhaps it's not objectively better, but it's certainly an alternative experience that can be quite enjoyable depending on the type of reader. That said, it's important to be direct: the work is, indeed, practically identical to the film. So, if the idea is simply to consume the story, watching the movie completely solves the problem. The light novel isn't mandatory in that sense. In my case, reading it was much more out of attachment to the franchise. I like to collect everything related to Naruto—manga, spin-offs, novels—so finding this edition and being able to read it was more a matter of completing the experience as a fan. And, thankfully, it wasn't a wasted read. Regarding the writing, it fulfills its role well. It's nothing extraordinary or revolutionary, it doesn't come close to the level of more complex or profound works, but it's competent enough to maintain interest. The narrative flows well, the characters are consistent with what we already know, and the story is easy to follow. Overall, it's a work that functions more as a complement than as something essential. For more dedicated fans of the franchise, it's well worth it, whether for the collection, out of curiosity, or the desire to revisit the story from a new perspective. For those who are more casual, the movie remains the best (and probably most practical) entry point. My final rating is 7/10. It's a good adaptation in terms of reading format, enjoyable and faithful, but it doesn't necessarily add anything indispensable to the overall experience. Ainda assim, existe um ponto interessante aqui: a experiência de leitura. Diferente do filme, onde tudo já está visualmente construído pra você, a light novel exige imaginação. E isso muda bastante a forma como a história é absorvida. Ler sem saber exatamente como cada cena vai se desenrolar, imaginar expressões, cenários e momentos, acaba dando uma sensação mais pessoal e, em alguns casos, até mais impactante. Particularmente, eu senti que alguns momentos tiveram mais peso justamente por isso. A leitura cria um envolvimento diferente menos direto que o audiovisual, mas mais íntimo. Talvez não seja melhor de forma objetiva, mas com certeza é uma experiência alternativa que pode agradar bastante dependendo do tipo de leitor. Dito isso, é importante ser direto: a obra é, sim, praticamente idêntica ao filme. Então, se a ideia for apenas consumir a história, assistir ao filme já resolve completamente. A light novel não é obrigatória nesse sentido. No meu caso, a leitura foi muito mais por apego à franquia. Eu gosto de colecionar tudo relacionado a Naruto, mangás, spin-offs, novels, então acabar encontrando essa edição e poder ler foi mais uma questão de completar a experiência como fã. E, felizmente, não foi uma leitura perdida. Sobre a escrita, ela cumpre bem o papel. Não é nada extraordinário ou revolucionário, não chega perto do nível de obras mais complexas ou profundas, mas é competente o suficiente pra manter o interesse. A narrativa flui bem, os personagens são consistentes com o que já conhecemos, e a história é fácil de acompanhar. No geral, é uma obra que funciona mais como complemento do que como algo essencial. É uma boa adaptação em formato de leitura, agradável e fiel, mas que não necessariamente adiciona algo indispensável à experiência geral. Recomendado principalmente para fãs que querem consumir tudo que Naruto tem a oferecer, nesses casos, vale sim o tempo.
