I cried so many times whilst reading this, so it's an impossible thought not to write a review. I have never cried so emotionally as I did when reading Inu-bu. I love dogs, so my opinion may be ever so slightly biased in that light. The story of Inu-bu takes you away with a young man who wants to save the homeless neighborhood dogs. A lot of events that he can't help happens, keeping the series realistic with the day to day problems of backyard breeding, not neutering your pets, abandonment, neglect and difficulties to find a forever home. I felt sympathy, anger, sadness, joy andeverything in between as the plot progressed. The passion of the characters really showed through, they really love dogs and what they do. The series teaches a lot of important lessons about pet ownership. Truly focuses on dogs, as the cover promises. The art was nice, easy on the eye. The dogs were easily recognizable and well done. Sometimes I confused the two main characters for a second. Main characters were passionate, infecting everyone with their stubbornness on the way. The side characters also possessed variety, and realistically portrayed some of the problems pet owners have. I enjoyed the 'antagonists', if I should even call them that, too, for they did their job to upset me greatly. Overall, I enjoyed each book regardless of the soul twisting agony some scenes caused in me. I recommend this series to everyone with a love for dogs, but perhaps not for the most faint of heart. The topics get rather intense from time to time.
this is my absolute favorite manga ever, i love it and recommend it without any doubt. with 3 volumes it shows an amazing story, carring always the same heartwarming feeling. i found it so caring, adorable. i purchase it without thinking too much because it had dogs, and i love dogs. (also the fact that the translated title in my language is "la vida con perros", which means life with dogs)... dogs always make me smile in any situation, but that, plus the so pure empathy the lovely characters feel for these angels? awesome, it embraced my heart. also, the art is really something!! i have a friendthat likes to draw and is always complaining about how hard it is to draw animals... i think that the ilustrator catches perfectly the sensation of talking to a dog and thinking that they understand you. super cute c: for my last comment, this manga really made me laugh. also cry. also smile so much that it made my cheeks hurt... the characters are so funny, also relatable, it made me want to be their friend and, funnily enough, be a vet. definitely, it's a story you shouldn't miss!
