I loved this manga! The art was nice (especially Yato) and the story was paced nicely. The characters are polar opposites, but they bring out the good sides of each other. The other characters in this manga, such as Eiju's coworker and statue (Jizo) made the manga much funnier! The trope of "hot headed guy and cool headed guy" is used here, but I think it positively contributes to the humor. The fact that they incorporated the supernatural aspect into the plot made it much more engaging. This made the story more than just your typical "two guys meet, start developing feelings, conflict happens, theymake up, the end" storyline that most BL manga tends to follow (not that I have a problem with that!). If you want a cute love story with a supernatural twist, I definitely recommend this!
Yaotomi Eiju has seemingly been the luckiest and most successful young businessman in Japan—that is, until he finds an unusual envelope in his mailbox. Since opening that letter, everything has suddenly gone downhill. From bumping into strangers in public to making simple mistakes on the job, hardships follow him everywhere. One evening, Yaotomi comes across a Jizo statue and briefly prays for his luck to return. But instead of getting his wish granted, Yaotomi starts seeing strange spirits and deities, including the perpetrator behind all his newfound problems: the god of disaster, Yato. He learns that Yato must bring adversity into his life because his unnatural luck is upsetting the universe and throwing it off balance. Desperate, Yaotomi visits countless shrines, exorcists, and shamans, but the supernatural entity refuses to leave his side. In the midst of such misfortune, however, a glimmer of hope may lie in Yato himself, as he continues to surprise Yaotomi the more the two stay by each other's side. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
A cute shounen ai "fallling in love" story. This manga is way shorter then what I usually prefer to read, but the pacing is good - things developed quickly but it didn't feel too rushed. Overall, I'd say that the manga was a well-written and enjoyable piece of fluff, but nothing deep or mind-blowing. The characters were likeable, but the length of the manga did not allow for much time for them to develop or grow. The art style was very nice. If you are looking for a BL story that focuses on the mutual development and recognition of romantic feelings from both parties (withnone of the elements of force or non-consent often found in BL romance where one of the characters starts out straight), with some supernatural elements to keep things interesting, then I would recommend this story to you. However, if you are looking for a torrid yaoi affair, then you would probably prefer something else. Aside from an epilogue/bonus chapter that is decidedly NSFW, this story falls more into the category of shounen ai.
