Not a bad oneshot. I liked how the radio and a later tv report were used to curb expectations. It was an interesting twist at the end, albeit a fair bit "edgy". However, that's it's only saving grace. (Slight spoilers ahead without going into too much detail. Honestly, if you plan to read this oneshot, I'd skip this next bit) All in all, it's a quick read and might've been an interesting psychological murder spree/serial killer story if extended a bit. For what it was, it was an okay short story. Nothing that'll stick with me years to come but might be worth a mention if I'mever at a campfire in need of a tale. There was some decent foreshadowing involved, but it was still fairly a simple story. The ending is left ambiguous, but I honestly think that's for the best
After being told to return, a 25-year-old man furiously drives back home with a hefty amount of cargo on his truck. During his road trip, he encounters a young man with a single bag, standing in the middle of nowhere requesting assistance to get to the sea. Despite believing the teenager will only be a nuisance, he reluctantly decides to give him a lift. But as they draw closer to the sea, the two slowly share their differences and start to take a liking to each other. Little does the older man know, there is more to the kid than meets the eye.
