Interested in a quick 24 chapter show that'll make you laugh and also throw some happy romance at you? Check out Lilim Kiss. The plot isn't anything crazy, or intricate, but it's just enough to keep you interested. Story Basically, we have a vampire-like girl that who has the power to suck the life-force out of people by kissing them. So, said girl meets a guy, guy is pretty awesome, commence ironic situations. :D Art Very sexy women. No complaints Character Somewhat cliche, but eh, nothing that gets you angry. None of the people do anything so stupid that you hate them either.Enjoyment Quite funny at times, and also a little sad. Definitely more happy than sad though, so no worries about reading a downer. Overall Check it out if you're looking for a short ecchi, comedy, romance show. You won't be disappointed.
Saiki Takaya, a guy who is easily misunderstood, one day finds a flask containing the succubus Lilim. She is very attractive but, she also has the tendency to drain the life force out of people. She surprises the life out of him (literally) when she kisses him unconscious. The girl, Lilim, turns out to be a succubus who gains energy by kissing guys. Lilim then flies off for more "food," but returns later, saying that Takaya's life-energy was the "tastiest." From then, Lilim is accepted by Takaya's parents as a live-in girlfriend of sorts, and Takaya's heart seems to start wavering towards this voluptuous devil. (Source: MU)
Lilim Kiss is a great short 24 chapter manga created by Mizuki Kawashita, the same mangaka who created Ichigo 100%. This manga has many things going for it such as good artwork and likable characters. Story: The story of Lilim Kiss isn't exactly the most complex in history, nevertheless it is still very enjoyable. Unlike most of Mizuki Kawashita's other works, Lilim Kiss is different because even though it is about high school romance, the main character is a demon and thus there are fantasy elements mixed in similar to Ah My Goddess! Which isn't a bad thing because it adds a new flavor to MizukiKawashita's works. Art: The artwork of this manga doesn't fall short of my expectations from the mangaka. The manga looks like a carbon copy of her other works such as Icigo 100% and Hatsukoi Limited which is a very good thing because her works are some of the most well crafted artwork I have seen in a manga. There is also a generous amount of fan service here. Character: The characters aren't very complex but they are likable nonetheless. I particularly liked the main character Lilim because she feels like she is the exact opposite of Belldandy from Ah My Goddess (She also looks very similar to Toujo Aya in terms of appearance, the same girl from Ichigo 100%). With only 24 chapters there isn't exactly much room for character development here and not much is said about the characters' background. Enjoyment: It is a fun yet very short manga which isn't a very bad thing because it prevents things from getting dull and boring, chances are you'll enjoy reading every single chapter (I know I did). Overall: With great artwork and likable characters, Lilim Kiss is a must read for any Mizuki Kawashita fan like myself and the element of fantasy separates it from the rest of her work. It may be short but its still very enjoyable and all 24 chapters are all worth reading.
I found this manga touching... It basically outlines the development of feelings in a sex-based species (succubus) and how one such succubus gains feelings for our main character. What could be considered "ecchi" scenes are no more than the "kiss" scenes from Rosario + Vampire... no more than is needed... and the worst is just over exposed clevage... The most saddening part is not knowing when she will come out of the bottle again... and learning about lilim's past engagements... overall a nice quick read and a good plot line... not TOO stereotypical...
