And before you read my review; I HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME! (Which I highly reccommend, since the manga isn't enjoyable if you didn't.) Based on those feelings, I just couldn't get into this series. The story's nothing special, boy finds girl and some cat, takes her in and he visits friends etc. What I did like was the art, I really, really liked the art. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but it wasn't bad either, it's my kind of style for normal manga's I guess, I just really like it. The characters, well, if you haven't played the game, you'll be dissapointed, cause besides the 3main characters, you'll see tons of other characters, without knowing any small detail from them, you have never seen them before, don't know they're backgrounds etc, and well, there they are.. just out of the blue. The 3 main characters plus the cat, you'll get to know something about them, not to much. So there isn't really any info here, that's why I keep the score on a decent level. Thus, said all this, go play the game, then read this manga, otherwise, the enjoyment level will be on a poor level. I don't regret not playing the game, since I don't care. But for people who'd like to enjoy small-sized manga, really, go play the game.
I also did not play the game. For this review, lets pretend that there's not even a game, just the manga. You can read blog for the full review. If I had to chose one word to describe this manga, it would have to be: Confusing. I had no clue who was talking most of the time, nor did I know the background story of any of the characters. It has a pretty typical manga romance: clueless, but kind boy and tough girl wearing a salior fuku, and that's not all! They are also childhood friends that live together, becausethey are orphans! The manga's originally level is just getting better and better! Then it had something about "Little Miss" and her mystery? Yeah… they never answer that "mystery", it's a pretty disappointing ending. Basically, the manga had three main characters. Little Miss, Yoshino, Ihagi. Now, Little Miss is probably the most stereotypical little anime girl. Awww, Look how cute and clueless she is! Wearing that little dress and headthingy! She also had a talking toy, known as Madison, who acted as a mentor or guardian. Ihagi is a relaxed, clueless boy. Yoshino seems like your average "tough" girl. The rest of the characters don't really matter, since half of them don't even have a names mentioned. Though I've said many negative things about this manga, it wasn't the worse I've ever read. For much of it, I felt like I was driving in a school zone, getting very bored and a small headache from it. But, occasional, it would speed up to 45 miles per hour! I would start to get excited, thinking there was more to this manga. But, then it would go back to 15 miles per hour. I can't ignore the existence of this mysterious game any longer! I watched a short trailer of the game, and I'm semi-impressed. I would give it a much higher score if I played the video game. But, alas, I did not, so the score stays the way it is. I think it would be so much better if they had: more character development and a longer story line. If this manga was a way to convince people to buy the video game, it failed to do so for me. If you have played this game, please tell me more about it and the characters!
