What would you do if money could be exchanged for life? * this is the main question that been rose by this manga story: it is a unique story , with fast but good character development , sometimes i think of it as a fast base story but it is as well a good belt up one , every character play its role nicely in the story , you will explore a decent dark manga with a Psychological theme some times , art: i think the art is great and i love how the " demons " are drawn, Terajima and Viktor anger emotions are well made as will . character: the two main characters are good and you can accept them , and i think i can love them in the future , the so called "demons" are shown in a new way in this work , and at this point i don't know if there are demons or not , the author and artists did a great job there , the supporting characters are take a lot of care in there arcs . Enjoyment: i end up enjoying these manga more than i could imagine , plot twists exist a lot in these work if you love them you will enjoy this work to the maxim . overall : great manga overall ,very good character , great art , unique story , i think i have more to say about this work and i will update these review soon ,of course would like to see adaptation for it in the future .
What would you do if money could be exchanged for life? Sell ten years of life for a fortune or give up everything to buy one more year? At the age of 17, a high school boy who has it all together meets a man with superpowers that are both godly and demonic. Through a deadly struggle for his life, he stumbles upon a world "on the other side"! Take a cold look at the fixation on human life in this sharply illustrated dark fantasy! (Source: MangaBox)
The synopsis is what got me to read it. The story was quite interesting and was developing nicely, but it feels as if the story was meant to be much longer. I don't know it this manga got axed, but it feels that way. I'll discuss this shortly under the spoiler part. Only the main character and his mentor have deeper and interesting characters in my opinion, but that's okay since it focuses on their relationship and the growth of the MC into something beyond what he would have ever expected to be. The pint of the story got introduced pretty late, but got me excitedto see where it would go. Sadl it didn't get expanded upon. It's not as if the manga was long or enjoyable enough to make it a "the journey was enough for me" kinda thing. It's okay, kinda fun, but unfulfilling. SPOILERS, uh kinda: After getting the backstory and reasoning for the mentor to train the MC, it almost immediately gets cut off. Ending the manga with a "the road to Victor's long cherished wish goes on!". This felt really unfulfilling and that's why I am rating this a fine 6.
*Disclaimer* Just personal scratch. Advised, possible spoilers. Opinion & Informal Art: 6/10 It was fine. The character designs were decent but not interesting. The female character designs were very plain and standard. The male character designs were the same. The meta humans or whatever weren't interesting either, they just had black eyes. The inner-self, tattoos and actual demons were somewhat good, somewhat. Basically, the character designs were too plain for an action and fighting themed manga. The key-panels where it tried to be cool were not cool at all. The key-panels/impact-panels are supposed to have distinctly more quality or leave some sort of impact to the reader, but thatwas not the case in this manga. Panel Progression: 5/10 Nothing really impressive. Much of the panel layout was very plain and traditional and didn't use any panel-spanning art or panel cutting. Panel layout didn't leave anything confusing and flowed well enough for me to understand what was happening. This manga suffered by providing zero panel layout flair which hurt its action scenes a lot. Characters: 4/10 Zero substance and no flavor. Female characters were not likable and uncute (I like to look at female character designs and think about my own preferences and what is objectively cute, but I don't actually put too much weight on scoring that aspect since it's sort of subjective). Male characters didn't have anything to like about them and failed to be cool. The times they tried to be cool never really hit the mark. Characters didn't really have fleshed out weaknesses or foils which ultimately left them feeling like npc's. Bad guys were bland. Big boss bad guy didn't really exist thus no plot ever really formed. Good guys were bland and were sort of in the grey area. Plot: 5/10 Basically what the synopsis says but the twist is that that plot is dropped by the second chapter. Development: 4/10 This is one of those times where the problem with my own scaling system shows itself. The development in this manga was particularly bad but I can't give it anything below a 4. Anyways, this entire manga is pretty much a battle manga where all major developments or problems are solved in 2 pages. Big bad boss, defeated in 3 pages. Discovering "Prince" and reconciling with him and the past, solved in 5 pages. What about the love interest and protecting her or being content with letting her forget all about you so that you can keep her safe, solved in 4 pages. Basically this manga is something like Naruto or Bleach except happens 20x faster. Plot points, plot developments, big fights, major character growth, and major plot development...all are solved in 2-5 pages. Conclusion: 4/10 I can immediately tell that this manga was rushed to end because it was canceled, or at least that's what seems the most clear-case to me. Last 4 chapters were rushed to absolute hell. Overall: 4/10 This story never really found what it was trying to be: a psychological action, a psychological, or an action manga. It tried really hard to be cool but failed to draw any feelings of hype. Not enjoyable as an action or a psychological. Romance potential dropped in a single page.
