Personally, I've made it a goal to hate all manga/manhwa that is associated with gender-bender or shoujo. Yet, I am about to say a lot of good things about this manga. In my defense, I would like to argue a few points: 1. I don’t usually read any gender bender work, I really don’t. However, this work is not strictly classified as gender-bender since the main characters possess the one another’ body, or known as soul swapping (unlike numerous manga where a boy dresses up as a girl). Furthermore, this is a pure romance story, containing no “extra” stuff. 2. This is definitely not a typical shoujo plotthat bores male audience to death. I guarantee that both male and female readers can find satisfaction in reading this. 3. Once conditions 1 & 2 are satisfied, the Korean-drama-fever just grabs one’s emotions once in a while (even for a male reader)! 4. There are only 46 chapters to this romance story, and it is completed. It is neither repetitive, nor does the story feel rushed. Now that the main points are said, I'll just briefly comment on each category. Story: 8 Don't remember the fine details of the story, since I've read this a few years ago. What I can tell is that any plot in properly made Korean drama becomes godly plot once you are sucked in. Good thing that this manhwa starts in an interesting manner so that it is easy to become engaged to the story. Art: 9 Must have been quite damn good art if a guy like me can read its shoujo styled art and not being tempted to close the browser. Unlike numerous other shoujo with "good art", the manhwaga in this one actually bothers to draw out detailed backgrounds in most of its panels. This is something rarely seen in shoujo comics. Character: 9 Where this manhwa shines. The entire character cast mainly consist of two people (guess who?), but the development of relationship between our main male and female protagonist is superbly done. The interaction of characters is not shown through shoddy and blunt comedies, but rather through a solid story and plot twists here and there. Enjoyment: 9 Enough said. Whether you are a guy or a girl, just read this manhwa. Overall: 9 ~Note about author: Hwang Mi Ri isn’t a person. It’s a pseudonym created to published numerous Korean Shoujo works under one name.
Gook Eun-Song is your average high school girl... that is until her attractive younger sister steals the man she had a crush on. Depressed, Eun-Song purchased a bottle of alcohol and crawled into a supposedly cursed closet in her father's furniture store. Yu Ha is your average typical bad boy. He even broke traffic regulations just to end up being chased by a couple of police officers. Oddly enough, he also ended up in the same closet where Eun-Song is asleep from drinking too much. Yu Ha ends up sleeping in the cursed closet with Eun-Song by his side... just to find out the next day, their bodies have been *gasp* switched! Can anything else possibly go wrong for our poor heroine? (Source: RC-SCANS)
This is a story with a great first half and an alright half of the half with the final half being kind of bad. First i just want to say that this title has little to do with the story. Only thing i can think of that is meaning is that the chick switches bodies with the guy. So maybe that's the purpose of the title but it still doesn't even make sense and kind of is just eh. ~~SPOILERS~~ I did very much enjoy this. The first 24 chapters really sucked me in and i hadn't really enjoyed or gotten invested in a story as muchas i did with this. The then up to chapter 40 the story seems kind of eh. Seems like a mess with a ton of crap happening. Biggest problem i'd say is that the main gimmick of the entire story is over at chapter 24 with 46 more chapters to go. So we have almost half of the story not even based around the main plot point of the story. I do honestly feel that the story suffers from this. It seems like with the story already resolving it's only issue it has to now make new drama and in doing so makes very fake and forced drama that get's so tiring that it starts ruining the rest of a good story. The story imo. If it felt that the story should have some chapters after they switched back. It should have done it around chapter 40ish and have the remaining 6 be about the after math. At chapter 24 we are seen with them in a hospital but in chapter 25 they are like 3 weeks after that with each other back in their original bodies. Such a sudden jump and it takes awhile for you to get used to the cut of story. After chapter 25 we also have to deal with a pretty bad story of the Two MC's liking each other but not telling each other or confessing. One scene was gonna have the girl go after the boy to America and i think that would have been fun. Later when the boy comes back he said that she should come with him to America and they should have done this. Hell, They should have had the boy confess to the MC. There was a scene where the boy gave the girl a ring and i thought they were gonna do it but no. While they are both switched bodies. The girl in the guys body can be so annoying tbh. She constantly interfere's in the guy's family matters even after telling her to stop it. It get's so annoying. The boy in the girl's body is actually fun. Something is always interesting seeing a girl that is usually a good suddenly turn into a delinquent all of a sudden and see family and friends react to such a change in personality. Only issue is that the guy when he is back in his original body doesn't really act like that. I do enjoy that the girl kind of got some of the guys influence rubbed off on her. Makes me kind of wish they would remain switch cause the guy in the girls body is by far the best part and is always fun to have on screen. Only issue is that he gets so little time compared to others. Now with this ending it was a complete mess and ruined any hopes of me being able to give this story a 9. Crap like Kidnapping other people, Overly complicated and stupid love triangles, Trying to forcefully switch bodies, Attempted rape or something like that, Girl turning switching with a dog. No one being able to realize that the dog now in the girls body is not ok and acting weird. Dog in girls body over eating and turning a pretty girl into a chubby girl. People being bankrupt, Still keeping the closet intact even all the shit it's caused, Giving the Magic Closet to the only crazy bitch in the entire story, A mom that all of a sudden's tries to shoot the characters. There was more but i can't be bothered to type it. I don't think it would be so bad if it wasn't for the girl switching with a dog and her family going bankrupt. Girls body becomes fat while she is a dog and her mom doesn't even seem to notice anything wrong with her daughter. This in all honestly was one of the most annoying things in the story. Thankfully she switched back and regained her figure. I think this would've and could've been better if it was just between the two MC's. No one else figuring out that they switched bodies. I also feel it would have been better if it was a magic closet and is just something that happens between the two of them and maybe they think the closet is the trigger but it isn't. If it lasted tell near the end of the story i think it would be better. Have something like they will switch every 3 weeks or so sense that's how long they were in each others body the first time before switching. I still find the guy in the girls body to be te best part. The way he acts in her body is much better and i kind of wish he would stay. But at the same time i don't like the girl being stuck in the guy's body. Surprisingly there isn't really any of them talking about being in opposite genders. I think they could have done more, A lot more. Overall if the first 24 were like every other chapter i would have loved this much more.
