Harem in the desert

Why Sabaku no Harem never got an anime adaptation, I will never understand. Although short, in my opinion, the author/illustrator(s) do a masterful job of delivering a story with such depth that I still consider this one of my all-time favorites. If the idea of an old-fashioned harem doesn't strike your fancy, let me assure you that this story is far from typical. Compared to other harem-based stories, the women are not pushed to the wayside as tools but, instead, uplifted in recognition of their abilities, which is more than refreshing for this overused trope. Harems aside, what keeps me coming back is the relationship andbanter between the two main characters. I'll stand on the hill and say that this is a seriously overlooked manga, forever, I think. It's got good art and heart-racing romance, what more could you want, really?
