Amazing manga, the anime adaptation is also perfectly done - nothing from the manga is missing. It's just that some people would think there is romance but it is barely mentioned, mostly slice of life. I love the way we get to know different characters' backstory. Art: 10 GORGEOUS, the fighting scenes were absofucxinglutely magnificent Story: 9 Characters: 9 I hate the fact I can't hate some of the characters. Also, I really like Hotaru, we love a badass girlboss The only minus is the ending for me, changing her hair was painful for me, cause I loved how she looked but still overall amazing manga. One of myfavourites
I started this manga in 2017 probably first manga i had read, was sooo good and interesting. Like character, comedy, guns art and backstory at latest chapters i notice the art was weird not like first chapters i don't know if mangaka want just finish his work or the artist changed (if somebody know please tell me). i recommand this manga if someone want light good story and easy read. I've seen a pretty mixed bag with reviews of this show, and I thought I'd give it my two cents as well. Story 8/10- It initially drew me in because of the whole Ouran-esque premise ofthe cross dressing, the host club, etc. However, that really only is in the first few episodes. After that, the story revolves around the three main characters forming and team and playing survival games. I don't really have an issue with this, other than the fact that the ending was pretty bad, and didn't match the quality of the rest of the show. It left me with a lot of unanswered questions. Art 9/10- The reason I picked up this show was because I saw it on MAL and thought Tachibana looked cool. The art really appealed to me, and scenes in forests and stuff are really beautiful. Character designs were also well done. Sound 6/10 - I finished watching this a while ago, so I can't really remember the sound. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that memorable. There was some spunky music thrown in at the action scenes, and it got the job done. The voice acting was pretty good, I especially liked Yukimura's monotone and slightly creepy voice.
High school student council president Hotaru Tachibana—a girl often confused as a boy due to her speech pattern and clothing—is not afraid to fight against injustice. When her friend is supposedly swindled by a host, Hotaru feels compelled to confront the man responsible. He turns out to be her next-door-neighbor, Masamune Matsuoka, who decides that the best way to settle this is to play a "survival game": an imaginary war game where fake guns are used, but the battles are no less real. Despite Hotaru's best efforts, she ends up losing and incurring a large debt due to the resulting damages. Consequently, she is forced to become the third member of Masamune's male-only team "Toy ☆ Gun Gun," joining his friend, Tooru Yukimura, an author of adult manga who dislikes her at first. However, before she even notices it, Hotaru becomes genuinely fond of both the sport and her team members. She chooses to share in their dream of becoming the best survival game team in Japan and winning the famous tournament, Top Combat Game, even if that means hiding her identity as a girl from her teammates.
