Ero♥Märchen: Akazukin-chan

Of all the ero marchen, this one is my favorite The one most developed in terms of story will have to be the little mermaid one but this one is the funniest I really love the take on red riding hood, making her family a gang I really sould give this a 7.5 if i could because it is hilarious but it is not 8 quality so i, rounding down The art like all the other works is great the characters are also interesting although J was not a major character in this one... Oh well. Recommend this and little mermaid if interested the rest are kinda meh

This is the second of the Erotic Fairytales that I reviewed. The problem that I have run into sadly is that I do not know is they were supposed to be read in any particular order as there is a character that is seen in most of them, the demon known as J. Now unlike the first I did, ‘The Little Mermaid’, he doesn’t have a really huge spot in this story. He acts much more like a narrator instead of the writer. He shows up in the beginning and the end but only once within the main story. The main characters of this storyare Marie and the young wolf, Kou. Anyone who knows me will know I fall in love with any cute characters that are wolf based just by the fact I am so in tuned with wolves and that is no exception with Kou for the most part. I guess the problem that I have with him is only that he is seriously like a child in his mind. He is so naive and trusts humans a bit more then he should with his background. His story is that all of his family was killed by hunters for their coats and that he is the last of his kind but yet he will go up to any humans and follow them home. I can understand him being close to Marie, but there really isn’t a reason for the others especially the fact that half of the ones he ends up following are ‘bad guys.’ Marie is a really strong individual but I can really see why. She had to grow up not really trusting anyone and learning to shoot first and ask questions later. I kind of like this version of Red Riding Hood as I was very worried they were going to do a very innocent little girl instead… it’s a Japanese Hentai style manga, I think I had a small reason to be worried. Now, this is where I have to talk about this little problem the author seems to have with trying to make the story last for much longer then I at least think it should. This happened in ‘The Little Mermaid’ and it happened here as well where after the first part of the story had a satisfying ending, the second half started and it felt unneeded. At least with the Little Mermaid we had new characters and it felt like it could stand on its own or added to the characters a little. The second half of this one didn’t seem to add to the main characters, only the supporting characters and even then it wasn’t much. The artwork was seriously well detailed as well in this manga with how the hair flowed or how elegant some of the characters were. It was not as high detailed as The Little Mermaid but I think it just comes down to the type of characters that were in it. Mermaids were seen as beautiful women with lots of pearls and shells in their artwork while Red Riding Hood is more of a simple story. Their expressions on the characters made me understand what they were feeling even with how stoned faced Marie was a lot of the time. ((Stoned faced as in rather serious with expressionless eyes, not stoned as in high.)) The guys and girls bodies were actually pretty typical in the beautiful people category but that’s really no surprise there. It makes me wonder what will happen when I review Beauty and the Beast if there is that manga. Overall, I felt this was very well done still and the sex really wasn’t that distracting from the story. Again, I do have to say that the manga was a little to long as I would have been fine with the ending that was given in the middle. It was a lot better in the fact that J was not a large part of the manga so it didn’t feel as though she was just using him as a means to keep the story getting more and more complicated like how The Little Mermaid was.
