The positives +This manga is fairly short and it does not drag the story out +The art is fair and looks nice during the action scenes Neutral aspects The characters in this manga span from very average and boring to interesting and entertaining. It will come down to whether you enjoy the stereotypes used in this manga. The negatives -The story is poor and not just because it's one that is fairly common in manga of this type, but because while reading you will find that you just don't care about the story.Overall this manga is not bad, but just very average. While I did enjoy reading through, it's not a manga that I would recommend unless you are board and have a little bit of free time and want to read a stereotypical action harem .
Kusumi Chiharu gets a message one day that he has been selected as a Monster Tamer, and he is prompted to select his first partner. He thinks little of the message until he receives a giant package the following day. He assumes it's the porn books he ordered, but the huge box ends up containing the unconscious body of a mostly naked girl! She's a ghoul named Zonmi, who intends to fight with him as his partner. However, it turns out that other hot girls at his mostly-male high school are also magical creatures, and Zonmi may not be the only one who wants to fight by his side! (Source: MangaHelpers)
The story continues on Light Novel (from chapter 6 of volume 3: "The beginning of the end"). As I was extremely sad and frustrated with this abrupt end, as if the manga existed canceled, despite having my complaints with the prota, I liked the characters and really wanted to follow their development, the growing romance with each one, and really a Harem endless. But that end of the manga ended up with my heart and then I went looking for a freak, and really, apparently the manga was canceled, because the story continues on LN. I really had to read some chapters of the Novel to findout right and that's it. The manga adapts up to chapter 6 of volume 3 of Light Novel, both manga and light level up use the same name in this chapter: "The Beginning of the End". In this case, LN has 5 volumes in total. Soon there would be at least another 30 or even 50 chapters ahead, which unfortunately have not been adapted. LN is already finished, too , but it ended very closed, very good, enjoy so muuuch, obviously I would like it to show more, but I was happy that the author is not a coward like many there are. For those who liked the characters and want to know more about the story I recommend taking a look at Light Novel: 1. Anyone who wants to read the story from where the manga stopped, just go to chapter 6 of volume 3 of LN :: </b> https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Maou_na_Ore_to_Fushihime_no_Yubiwa:Volume_3_Chapter_6 2. Anyone who does not enjoy reading LN and just wants to know how they ended, their romance / harem, see the Epilogue of volume 5, this is the end of the Work a very good ending, very satisfying something that MTS authors do not have the courage to do: https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Maou_na_Ore_to_Fushihime_no_Yubiwa:Volume_5_Epilogue Below follows the link to read the LN with all the separate volumes, it is in English, but just put it in the Chrome extension there or directly in the mobile browser it translates to your language: https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Maou_na_Ore_to_Fushihime_no_Yubiwa This was the first work of this author, Kankitsu Yusura, although I believe that it is the 2nd work that I liked the most, the 1st is Saikyou no Shuzoku ga Ningen Datta Ken, I really recommend it, I know that the abrupt end of the manga is frustrating (it wasn't him who did the manga, he only supervised it), but the manga publisher apparently didn’t think it was feasible to continue adapting and ended up like that, I highly recommend it, especially for those who continue on later in the novel. For those who want new novels, I recommend: 1. Saikyou no Shuzoku ga Ningen Datta Ken (by the same author as I mentioned above) 2. Bisque Sleep Doll wa Koi wo Suru 3. A Perverted Daily Life
There's something of substance in the premise here but that substance is greatly underutilized. There is a tremendous lack of explanation which makes everything feels random. The plot jumps around randomly pulling out plot points without properly developing them and hence having everything feeling rushed without actually giving a feeling of any structure or solid development. A good example of this is the ending, where they seem to pull an attempt at making the villains sympathetic, despite discussing how they massacred a heroine's family only a chapter or so before, and hence this fails to work at all. The characters too seem to have interesting personalities and traits in general, but the manga doesn't reallyseem to develop that all that well at all and the unique traits of all the characters don't really shine through. The motivations for most characters, especially Zonmi, feel tremendously underdeveloped. And in the end, beyond possibly Manami, most of them feel quite forgettable. The art is pretty good. tl;dr: A relatively interesting premise and characters but one that tries to push forward without properly developing anything at all.
A typical action harem. Story: 6 Very typical story, with a slightly different twist on the "contract girl" premise like in Sekirei or other works where the MC subjugates a bunch of superhuman girls. Superheavy plot armor. Plot twists pretty obvious. Art: 8 The art's probably the biggest selling point. Characters were cute, distinct, clean. Fighting scenes are flashy, but detailed. Art conveys the majority of the humor in this series, if any. Characters: 7 Standard fare harem characters. Token childhood friend, token tsundere loli, token brocon imouto, and token cannot-be-more-generic chosen-one-heroine. The only good thing about them is they contribute to the growing world/genre of monster girls, featuring: Nephilim, ghoul, red dragon, and TBD(?). Nothing else about them is memorable. Main male lead is slightly decent. He doesn't hesitate, he does his best, he isn't super duper dense or perverted, and he's OP but doesn't boast. Sadly, he comes off as really cheesy. Super cheesy. Because of how short the series is, no rapport is built between the reader and the MC, making him feel like a try-hard even though he's not designed to be. Enjoyment: 7 As much as you'd enjoy eating a fast-food burger. It's trash but it tastes good. It was nice to see a harem where the girls love and care for the MC, and don't pull melodramatic crap or overdo jealousy wars. It was also really nice to see most of the heroines don't have chests that look like they'll pop at any time; that shit gets suffocating after a while. Overall: 7. Read it, don't think too much about it. You're here for the pretty girls anyways.
