I don't think I can write about the story without somewhat giving away spoilers but I shall try my best. The story starts according to the synopsis but changes very quickly due an immediate tragedy. I found the tragedy sad and endearing somewhat but I felt the characters in the story did not address their feelings towards the tragedy as there are some rather large time skips in the manga. The first 3 or 4 chapters have significant time skips ranging from months to years which can make the manga kind of confusing if you don't pay good attention. Despite this slightly awkward being thegeneral story is quite good in terms of romance you don't really know where some things are going which allows you to be surprised and anticipate the new chapters, lets just say that you shouldn't assume you always understand what is going on inside the characters minds. Some of the characters are more fleshed out than others. The main character (or who I THOUGHT was the main character) is probably the least fleshed out at all, saying that there are only 6 chapters translated into english perhaps he may get some character development later on. There are other characters such as one of the tsundere brothers who are better developed who I enjoy reading about, he has a very interesting mind set and great character development which in this case is actually helped by the time skips unlike some of the other characters. I am personally in favour of Yamamoto Kotetsuko's art style in general as I have a read a few of her other manga however I do find often that in her mangas the 'short' guys all look kind of childish and not at all their age group. The main character in this manga looks to be around the same age as some of the younger siblings its kind of weird but his build defies this and makes him look slightly older, its weird really. I wouldn't let the art put you off I would just be wary of this.
After Ryou's father remarries, he's not sure what to do with three new brothers and a stepmother at the age of 19. As he comes to appreciate his happy new home and family the glue holding them together starts to come undone. How will these four brothers weather tragedy after tragedy and stay together? The story starts out pretty tragically. The father of the main character marries a woman who ha three sons, and they live quite happily together. His father dies one day in an accident, and a year after that, his stepmother (mother of the 3 boys) succumbs to cancer, leaving the 4 brothers on their own. He steps up, as the oldest, as the parent figure to looks after his brothers. The story progresses, as the oldest brother opens a cafe to support all of them. You will soon come to realise that two of the brothers are gay- one of which is in love withthe oldest, his step-brother. The story isn't a sweet yaoi story at all- it's pretty heavy and dark due to the themes of incest and forbidden love, and sex is a frequent theme in the manga. I am enjoying this series, but the updates are REALLY SLOW. A chapter is posted around every three months. I would recommend you to read this if you are into the yaoi genre and incest, but do take note that this manga is NSFW.
--------------------------------- if we start to talk about the art : I kinda love it but the problem that Yamamoto Kotetsuko isn't that creative I mean there a lot of characters in the manga that resemble each other a lot it's like almost duplicated! if the mangaka was creative about the appearance it would be perfect so because of that I give the art 6. --------------------------------- About the story: well, basically there are two main couples. the one is the youngest brother's best friend(at 8th grade) with the second son(graduated from high school) Ilike how these couples are very patient, lovely and the most important part is no sex (why is it important cuz we talking about a minor kid with an adult person. The other couple is the brother x stepbrother. I love how the mangaka put his whole attention on how the brother feels of regret and afraid from destroying his own family! ------------------------------------ I admire Yamamoto Kotetsuko's works a lot I really enjoy reading the manga but the thing that I hate about it is that in the beginning, everything was going slowly and then fast! I didn't like how everything was too perfect like the family almost every member of it is gay and it was acceptable! like I want rejection and then acceptance. like real life!!! I didn't like how the stepbrother's feelings were at first like "my precious little brother" and then "I love you in a romantic way" I believe if the mangaka give it a little bit of time to the stepbrother to realize his feelings and then accept his brother's confession the manga would be better! but most of it was good I like Yamamoto Kotetsuko's works because it focuses on showing feelings!
