I too want to romanticise food and be a solitary gourmet. Very chill and cosy. Makes you hungry makes you happy. You completely forget about reality because of how immersive it is. Love the main character. And I just love men with big noses. I think that's it, nothing more to ask. This is a good read for introverts. - I can't publish the review because it's not long enough, so I'm going to list what I loved the most: - The train scene- The mystery identity that sorrounds our protagonist - Every fried food - Also I realized that a true culinary experience isn't just about the food but also about the people around. We could see when the protagonist was at ease with the place, the people or wasn't comfortable. - Understand that eating may seem just another daily life activity, but you can actually make it a special moment. - I just don't understand how they made a man eating so entertaining. - Just read it
This manga simply describes how Gorou Inogashira, the main character, chooses and takes a meal. Unlike other gourmet manga, Gorou likes to eat at cheap restaurants and no trivia on cuisine is given. The authors are trying to depict the essentials of the act of "eating" by Gorou's monologue, which comprises most of the lines of this manga.
