Mixed Feelings

Story+Character: I gave the story a 3 because, quite frankly, it was too typical and too short. The timespan over which the girl falls in love with the shinigami is too little. And if you read the front cover, there often seems to be something saying, "... happened, now what's going to happen..." Or something to that extent. So you read the manga and you say, "oh? So that's it?". It's pathetic. The reason I gave the character a 4, was only because the male character was somewhat charismatic. Though, if it were the girl, I would've given it a 1. No kidding. The girl pissedme off. In appearence and in character. Art: Art in this manga got a 7 for me for the sole reason being, the male shinigami. He was drawn beautifully and the art of the jewellery he wore was fantastic in my opinion. And yet again, if it were the girl, the rating would've been a 1. She was, blatantly put, ugly. Enjoyment: Very poor. No further comment.

Onda Miku was just a regular high school girl who loves nails. But suddenly, she got into a terrible accident and the shinigami (death god) Sei fastened Thanato's Lover, his chain of death, onto her wrist! However, she was taken by mistake and was brought back to life but the chain cannot be removed until the end of her lifespan. She is now chained to Sei until then. Sei may be hot, but he is a bit scary. Being tied together with him, just what kind of fate awaits Miku!?

Japanese legend speaks of a String of Fate is a Red cord tied Around the Little finger which ties two people as Destined lovers regardless of Time, Place or Cicumstances. It may Stretch or Tangle, But never Break. Shinigami Lovers is a Shoujo manga by Yuuki Ryou. It is 2 Volumes long Released last 2007. -SPOILERALERT!SPOILERALERT!SPOILERALERT!- Story: A girl Named Miku Onda who is a High School Student and Nail artist got Into a Terrible car accident that puts her on a Comatose state. As she's Lying on her Hospital Bed, ashinigami by the Name of Sei has Come to Take her to the World of the Dead. First, he Binds his Soul with a Bracelet called "Thanatos Lover" so that they Will never be Seperated. Second, he will Grant her One wish. Thinking that this is was all a Dream, Miku fainted. At the Gates of the Death, they found out that Her soul was Brought in by a Mistake. She will return to the World of the Living however, the Chain cannot be Undone. A human and a Death god chained together by the Thanatos' Lover until Death. --- Well, I like the Plot but i Hate the Start of the Story and the Ending. The story Rushes a Bit but I enjoyed this Manga thanks to the Other Scenes. So 5/10. Art: The art Style emphasizes the Bishoujo and Bishounen type of Art Style, complete with Big eyes, Wavy hair and Slim figures. Through a Bit Messy and Disproportional at Times, the Art is Good. (7/10) Character: I like the Characters but I hate Miku. She always Blushes and Blushes everywhere. That's the Only thing I can say. Enjoyment: I enjoyed this Mangaka so Far. The funny scenes seems to work. So 6. Overall: 6/10 Shinigami Lovers is a Story about a Girl who is with a Handsome Death God until her Real Death. The story covers the Ordeals of a death God about his Duties, ranks, and Circumstances. The story not only Focuses on the Two Protagonists and How they Pair Up together. As i Said, The story rushes a Bit,The Start and The end of the Story is so Bad. But I'll give it a 6/10 because of the Cute Art and Enjoyment as an Addictional. Scores: Story: 5/10 Art: 7/10 Character: 5/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Overall: 6/10 This is my 1st Manga Review, Pls enjoy! :)

Ok so I started reading this because I was a bit intrigued with the concept (slightly "so done before" feeling but still a fav. of mine). Now the main character dies and ends up chained to a shinigami (hot by the way) how ever the chick is a bit annoying at times, characters are introduced and then left out ( not much depth for them). and the ending sucks...well leaves you like the other review said "leaves you asking thats it?" The story seem to be building up to some kind of love scene or big confession and I was very disappointed. Overall it was decent buti feel it could have been better. I still recommend to read, just do not expect much out of it.
