A delightful and slightly more real manga than your average yuri despite the fact that it's usually a silly 4-koma format. Story: It's a fairly typical premise and story with a less experienced woman moving in with a lesbian because the rent is cheap. The plot follows the usual events of such a premise, but what is special about Under One Roof is its sense of humor throughout. Chemistry: Natural and easy chemistry with the love interests makes this a fun and joyful read. Pair this with the humorous 4-koma styling and you have a winning combination. Art: Cutesy, well designed chibi characters are used for most ofthe manga with occasional close ups with significantly more detail. This is the secret sauce of Under One Roof as the author can have silly gag comics while also zooming in during the romantic sections. It's simple, brilliant, and does wonders for the simple story. I wish more stories used this kind of paneling! Definitely give this a go. It's a bit off-color at times, but I found even those moment charming in a way. More mixed 4-koma style yuri please!
Miho Yoshida has been looking for a place to live. After some searching, she visits the home of Fuuka Asou, who is renting out a room on the second floor. The two discuss their situation, including the history of Fuuka's roommates—most of whom were male. Feeling the need to let her know up front, Fuuka comes out to Miho as a lesbian. With the sexuality of her roommate not an issue to the open-hearted Miho, she promptly moves in. Flirty jokes directed at her from Fuuka and her attractive female friends become commonplace. But as feelings change and the jokes become more serious, Miho is put in a dilemma. When Fuuka romantically closes in, why does Miho feel so happy? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
