Shite Okeba is compiled of four short stories, and a rather good read. If you prefer fluffy romances, this might not be your thing, since all four aren't really the dreamy type of story. (Well, the first and third hold a kind of cuteness though) They're the kind that pulls you in, makes you think and maybe even cry, while watching and considering the characters feelings. Story: 8 The plotlines were rather typical for shoujo, but very well done in how they unfold. Here a short summary of the four stories: (caution, mild spoilers maybe) Shite okeba yokatta yo & The Realization of happiness A university student ishung up on her high school love, and thanks to a class meeting, she gets to meet the guy again. After school kiss A plain, serious girl is approached by a popular younger guy in her high school and has to deal with the envy of others. Tell me you love me A high schooler doubts wether the university student she's in a relationship with really has feelings for her, due to his seemingly cold attitude My friend's boyfriend (1&2) The heroine watches her childhood friend and secret long-time-love fall for her best friend, struggling wether to get between them, as tragedy strikes... Art: The art is well done, though nothing special, so i gave it a 7. Character: 8 All characters were consistent in their acting, it was easy to see their feelings and reasons and follow their struggles. Despite the difficulty one shots pose to character creations, they didn't seem flat or stereotypic. (thumbs up!) All in all, i quite enjoyed it and i'd recommend it to anyone who has a little time on their hands and likes good but simple romance. (simple as in typical plotlines, with the last story being an exception) ;)
Story 1: Shite, Okeba Yokatta Koukai and Story 2: The Realization Of Happiness En Asakura is having the same dream lately. She dreams of a boy asking her to kiss him. Her dream is connected to a painful memory from her high-school life when she felt in love with a boy named Maru. When he asked her to kiss him she refused and now sheβs regretting that act. Not to mention that the boy started to date another girl after that incident. En is now in university and is trying to find her life partner through βblind group datesβ named goukon. What will she do when a boy with the same name as her past crush asks for her number? Will she refuse and regret it again? (Source: Evil Flowers) Story 3: After School Kiss Haruhi, a plain, serious, library committee has to deal with the envy of other girls when the most popular guy among the 1st year is sticking to her. Story 4: Tell Me You Love Me It's been a month since Sou and Ichika are dating, but Sou never said "I like you" to Ichika and they haven't kissed or even held hands. Sou is also avoiding Ichika whenever Ichika says romantic lines. How will their relationship go!? Story 5 & 6: My Friend's Boyfriend A painful realism, about a girl who fell in love with her childhood friend who actually dated her best friend but is now in a comma.
