Okay GDGD dogs is probably one of my favorite manga. My parents bought the first book for me fit Christmas seeing it was the first manga book they saw. But boy am I happy they did. Before I start let me just say thus is not meant for someone new to the world of manga and anime you should at least now what moe, yaoi and shonen jump are if you want to understand the jokes. Story Does not really have a story and for the most part you could start with really any chapter and still understand most of it. Art I loved the art Iespecially loved the way kanna's bangs covered her eyes it gave insight into the character. Character I loved all the character's I gave a hard time picking a favorite. What I particularly liked was how the mangazasshi the three boys read defined them. Enjoyment This is probably one of the funniest manga I have ever read the mangaka just finds a way to make everything hilarious even little things like the cover of jump saying maruto which cracked me up Overall You will I guarantee you laugh out loud reading this but again you must be a real otaku because a weaboo would not understand most.
Kanna Tezuka is a serious 15-year-old manga artist, already being published as a pro. So when she finds out her high school is starting a manga drawing course, even she gets excited. But it's a fiasco! The teacher is useless, and the only other students—three pretty-boy artist wannabes—quickly adopt Kanna as their (unwilling) sensei. But they all have ridiculous delusions about being an artist, and if Kanna can't bring them back down to Earth, she'll never get any work done! (Source: Kodansha)
Manga Dogs Pretty boys doing pretty stupid things. Read the sentence above again. Now, do you want to waste your time on pretty boys doing stupid things? Most of the comedy part only comes after the 1st volume. So you have to endure 1 volume of pretty boys doing pretty stupid things. I appreciate the depiction of the manga industry, how mangakas suffer each night, struggles of being an author whilst being a student. But please, remove the stupid pretty boys doing pretty stupid things. Would I recommend you to read this? No, unless you like to see pretty boys doing pretty stupid things.
This manga requires you to do a little "homework" to get all the jokes if you don't know much about the production, history, and important faces of manga. But if you know those things, it's such a fun little treat! The art is great, just like the rest of Toyama's works, and I found the whole thing to be really funny and sweet. It didn't have much of a story, but what it did have didn't feel forced. The characters were not the most unique or interesting, but that's a given for comedy manga. It is by no means a masterpiece but I still really enjoyed itand think other people would too - f you're looking for something short to read in a day, this is great!
