Honestly the first time I read the first few pages of the manga, it didn't amuse me. I was thinking that it would end up in a cliché way anyway and guessing it'll be boring. But the second time I tried to go over it, I found myself engulfed by the simple yet heartwarming storyline. If you're the type of a BL reader who seeks for 'you-know-what' scenes, this ain't your cup of tea. On second thought you might as well get up and read it! Let me start up with the story: Serizawa Hajime is a man, who works at a bookstore. One day while checkingsome books, encounters a tall,fierce-looking university student who goes by the name of Tsuda MacLeod Keito. Serizawa had a bad impression of Keito because of the incident but as Seri observes Keito more deeply whenever he goes to the bookstore, he finds out that this wolf in reality was like a gentle and innocent kitten. As days pass by they learn more about each other and became fond and comfortable with one another. Art: Not too intense. It was really drawn well. The expressions and atmosphere were nicely delivered to the readers. Character: The character development though was slow did not fail to amuse me. It did not bore the hell out of me. Everyone was likeable. They did their part really well. Keito's character inspite of his looks was like of a child's: Innocent, caring, doting and clingy. The childlike attitude might annoy you. So adorable that it was annoying. While Seri was more mature than Keito. He feared some men he had relationship with of his past but due to Keito's attitude, he tried opening his heart once more and let the feelings flow the way it has to be. Enjoyment: Every chapter makes you want to read for more. It wasn't really that cheesy like those shoujo mangas but it makes you feel loved and special. Overall: A great read. Café Latte Rhapsody's doesn't really have this one of a kind storyline, the characters may be your typical 'shy' type, but you might as well give it a try. You'll never know what's inside the cover right?
A bookstore employee, Serizawa—a short, comical, and adorable young man—spots Keito—an immensely tall and intense-eyed man—in the store. It was a love at first sight for Serizawa! However, Serizawa realizes that Keito is extremely shy and meek. What's holding him back? Can Keito overcome his shyness and show his true feelings? (Source: Juné)
This manga was so refreshing! I enjoyed every part of it, it was just so cute and adorable! It made me smile, laugh, go ''awww, cute!'' and even giggle in a fangirling way like I never did before. That is why I give it a perfect score; it's because I enjoyed it so much! If you look it up in a more objective way, however, it does have some flaws, but would still deserve a 8 or 9 score. Let me add some details here. Story: The story felt a bit cliché, but was handled so well that it's forgiveable. It is along the lines of''I love this person so much that I'm ready to open up my heart one more time but I'm also scared of getting hurt'' and ''A big misunderstanding causes drama''. Yes, it is not an outstanding or super original story, but it is told well and gives more space for more important stuff like the characters. Characters: Both characters have a well defined personnality. Some might find a bit of dejà -vu in them, but I felt like they were really unique; Keito in particular. He his a scary looking guy at first, but when you get to know him he is the cutest awkward man ever! Serizawa seemed like a really chearful and happy man at first, but we get to learn more about who he really his and tries to be. Even if the manga has only one volume, we can feel the characters grow quite a lot, which is really nice. Art: I loved the art! The drawings are really pretty, with nice straight lines and just enough details. The chibi and cute faces were just so adorable too! Enjoyment: Well, this pretty much brings you to my frist paragraph. I enjoyed every single part of this manga so much and after each chapter I was a bit sad because I knew there was so little left to read! Overall: This is a great manga and I think any shonen-ai fan could enjoy it. The story is just so simple, cute and pure. It really makes you feel all happy and giggly!
