This masterpiece truly deserves more recognition. The collection of one-shots are delicately told and truly tugs at your heartstrings. While there is sex, and it is enjoyable ---you are reading a yaoi after all, the manga takes a step back from the physical relationships between the characters to focus on the progression of the story line and the deepening and developing emotions of the characters. Readers will love the characters and sincerely wish them happiness from the bottom of their hearts. To be honest, I cried for one of the characters; THAT was how attached I got to one of them. I was so happy withthe endings of the stories. My heart is warm after reading this manga. Please read and share it with others!
Collection of oneshots: 1) A bird in dream (Yume ni Tobu Tori) Soichiro has a heart attack and is hit by a car on Yuuga's birthday right after a huge fight, but gets a second chance when he wakes up two days before his accident. 2) Iku Michi, Yobu Tsuki Cutting through a dangerous park one night, Otsuji is attacked by hoodlums and thrown into a lake. There he meets the demon of the lake, and can't leave. 3) Moment Atsushi is slowy recovering after being dumped by his last lover. His sister and brother-in-law, concerned that he is becoming a recluse, invite him out for a drink at their bar. While at the bar he sees a beautiful college student, Kizaki, and is smitten. But because he has no fashion sense, Atsushi gets a makeover from his sister before he approaches his crush. Things go even better than he expected, but after their tryst, Atsushi has to work overtime for a week. When he finally makes it back to the bar, he sees Kizaki kissing someone else. Will Atsushi be forced to give up on his dream of love? 4) Hana mo Arashi mo The beginning of the love story between 2 childhood friends, Takerou (a student) and Kouta (a florist). The story looks like shota but actually the little uke (Kouta) is already 25. 5) Midnight Sun (Mayonaka Taiyou) Kakeru, Shouichi-san, and little Rurika are back in a sequel to Hinata. The unexpected visit of Shouichi's dead wife's sister convinces Kakeru that he's only a bother to the Konomi household. With Shouichi (and Ruri) allow him to simply leave their family? (Source: B-U)
Well, I've never really written a review, so please dont expect too much from this! I was just so surprised that it hasnt gotten much attention since it is such an enjoyable manga. Anywayyy, this is really just a collection of oneshots, but they are like SERIOUSLY good oneshots. Which doesnt really happen all that often. Now, they are really dark. It deals with stuff like death, sacrifice and even cannibalism....but it's definitely not as gruesome as it sounds. It's just dark in the way where you love someone, but you are going to give them up so that they can be happy. It's sweet andsad and just amazing. Anyway, I really suggest this to anyone who likes a good yaoi!!!! It falls in the same category as something like CUT. Oh! And just a warning, this is a really hard yaoi, so dont read it if you cant handle a little man-on-man action ^___^
