Hatsukoi Limited.

I really enjoyed Hatsukoi Limited. It surprised me how enjoyable it was. Many compare this manga to Ichigo 100% because they share the same mangaka but personally, I found Hatsukoi Limited much more enjoyable. Though there wasn't much character development I still felt a strange charm and attraction to all the characters unlike in Ichigo 100%. All the characters were introduced and given a nice summary, some more then others. None were left out and I thought that was really nice. When I first saw this manga I thought it would just be a whole bunch of one-shots about school girls falling in loveover..and over..and over again. Yet, surprisingly, it's nothing really like that. I mean there are school girls, and there's definitely love but all the stories were connected to one another. Not to mention there were stories in guy POVs as well (which I usually enjoy more). Additionally, I found that the characters in this manga were so charming that it didn't take much for me to be attached or label some of them my favorites. And as many readers know, reading about characters you favor is almost always thoroughly enjoyable- which is what it was for me. I couldn't wait to read about my favorite couples and I couldn't wait to cheer for some couples and even, as I must shamefully admit, hope for some couples to fail. The art in this manga was really well done as well. All the characters were nice to look at and there's really nothing that I can find wrong/bad about the art in this manga. Not to mention, the variety of faces in this manga was quite ranged too. I mean there were plain faced boys, thug like boys, otaku looking boys, handsome boys, and.. well actually all the girls were generally really good-looking. The whole manga had a very nice feel to it. Nothing to dramatic, nothing too mushy- just a nice light romance comedy about teenage girls and boys learning about the harsh, sweet, and bittersweet thing called love. I really enjoyed this manga. It was a surprisingly good read. I definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to read a light romantic comedy. And though it seems kind of long, the stories are nicely varied yet all connected to one another, plus keeps you entertained the whole way through. (:

This is the first manga of Mizuki Kawashita that I've read and I must say "Sensei you certainly know how to create beautiful love stories" :). That said, I also like the punch line "Have you ever been in love?". Its a light-hearted manga, which throws in some serious shades of real-life too. Story -8 This manga features 8 short first-love stories of girls from middle and high school, mainly focusing on their relationships with their classmates and family members. Each chapter is focusing on one main girl character. All the stories are connected with each other and eventually lead to a practical and acceptable ending involvingthe whole cast (so don't be fooled by the length of the manga). Art -8 The characters are well-drawn, especially the girls. You can easily identify the cute looking ones like Chikura and the awesome beauties (hotties to be exact) like Enamoto & Misaki. Even the guys have their uniqueness, we have boy-next-door guys like Mamoru, to dumb-looking guys such as "kappa-faced" Kosuda and Sogabe to handsome-looking ones like Renjou senpai. Because the story is character-oriented, it helps each character to self-identify itself. Character -8 What can I say, its a harem, so there's no one particular lead here. But I guess the author managed to balance all the characters admirably. The scenario around every character is well-built and even if the center plot focuses on the girls as lead, still the male characters also got fair enough character length in the script. The author has very beautifully shown the good/bad points of every character, so you can relate to them as well. Enjoyment - 8 Its w well balanced romance-comedy manga. My personal favorites are the bittersweet moments between Kosuda and Enamoto. I consider them the most opposite couple of the whole lot. Other character stories are also enjoyable, and even if its a short manga, I will not consider it incomplete. Overall- 8 I'll recommend this manga to those who haven't seen the anime as well as to the ones who crave to read a light romance book. Of course, I enjoyed the anime more than the manga, but the manga gives us a follow-up story for what happened after episode 12. There are some extra stories also (that is if you are interested). But overall its worth a read!

Being a guy who doesn't like romance manga, I was surprised at how much I liked this. Though it's not one of my favourites, but I still enjoy this series. From the author of Ichigo 100%, this manga has little fanservice compared to her other work, and seemed to be more focused on the interactions of the character, which is probably why I liked this series due to my dislike of constant fanservice used to enhance plot in most romance manga nowadays. The artwork is impressive at to be expected from Mizuki Kawashita fans and the I found myself intrigued by the extensive range ofcharacters personalities and their interactions with one another. Only about 4 volumes long, this is a short, enjoyable read that I think romance fans will enjoy

Content/Story: Fit the title and theme perfectly. First Love (Hatsukoi). This might be confusing in first 10~15 chapter or so due to lack of "introducing the character part", but it'll coming together at the end. And it's really beautiful. Art: Basically an upgrade version of Ichigo 100%, you can see the similarity of some of the characters from Ichigo 100% and this manga. Character: As I said before, in this manga you'll find about 5~7 "couples" who felt their "first love". and they behave (in my opinion) perfectly as some people who actually felt "first love". You'll find some couple annoying, gullible, innocent, etc. Just like what you may had experienceor saw in your real life. Enjoyment: It's basically comedy, so yeah. and because it could be confusing for "first timer" reader, you'll find more "enjoyment" during your "re-reading" part. Overall: I'm just gonna quote what the author narrate at the end (and I think it's not really a spoiler): "Things don't always go as well as you might like... There are times when things might not work out at all... But the first time you feel those precious emotion... I'm sure there's something that you have to treasure... and every single of those feelings leads us a bit further onward, toward the future... ARE YOU IN LOVE?" Those words I think, describe the manga perfectly.
