This is the most funny thing I've read this year, I think. Supernatural comedy that is strange, but adorable. And it is original 100% Story is very good, not only because it's shocking and unexpected, but also well mastered to make the reader interested just with 4 chapters! For me it's even more funny, while I myself am a dog-lover and someone says to me sometimes that I'm dedicated to my dog even more than acceptable. Mangaka made fun of very casual situations and - what's more - of usually used in romance plot lines. The 5-th is about a vampire and draws those merchandised creatures fromthe new point. What would you do if some vamp says to you, that you're not good enough to be a blood-donor? Shell you be disappointed? As I said, that's funny. Art is just simply good, especially pervy wolf, who ends up being disappointed in some aspects every time. The facial expressions of the dog-wolf are amazing! I mean, making wolfy chibi faces should have been quite entertaining for mangaka. Though other things are not so well-designed. Characters are just classic for the genre, but they also are not quite as you expected them to be. But the sad thing is, we can't yet understand anything about the supernatural universe: what kinds exist there, what are their abilities and social structure etc. Nothing useless is said about the past of the mail protagonist. They just love each other, and... welcome to the next volume! (Sort of) The female protagonist though is plain, maybe she's here just for the sake of the wolf-boy. Enjoyment is full to the point when it is hard to hide the laughters (it's night time after all). Though it's not a children's story, while so much sex hides underline, there is nothing smut or ecchi here, so I don't get bored. The overall is 8, which is "very good", cause I even shared some especially humorous and well-mastered pages with my precious dog-owner-friend, who doesn't like manga at all.
Hisako was saved from a drunkard by a wolf. She decides to adopt the beautiful, and entrancing creature, but Hisako's new pet turns into a fine-looking guy! Somehow his entrancing eyes remain in her mind... One-Shot: A Request to the Vampire Ryouko is targeted as an anorexic, or shall we say, unappetizing, girl. But when her want to die overflows when she meets a vampire, he turns her world around. (Source: MU)
This manga isn“t very popular, and I totally understand why. If you find this manga by chance or if it is recommended by MAL (as it was to me), don“t waste your time, read something else. Anything else. So here goes my review: Story - 3 There really isn“t much story apart from what is in the MAL synopsis. And yes I know it“s short, but I red even shorter stories that had some sort of substance. This manga is not one of them. Girl meets hot wolf guy and sleeps with him. In the three remaining chapters they take turns being jealous of each other. That“sit. Believe it or not, one shot is even worse. Pathetic girl with no self-esteem whatsoever clings to random boring vampire. Art - 5 I“m no expert on art (also I“m no expert on any other topic, but hey), it was okay for 2000-ish manga I suppose. Not really my style, but okay, I guess. Characters - 3 Just awful. Blank slate main girl with no personality whose only role is being a damsel in distress. Wolf guy who is borderline forcing her to sleep with him because she is too pathetic to resist. In one shot girl who has no self-esteem whatsoever and is overall very pathetic. Boring vampire. Side characters are very unimportant and all look the same. Enjoyment - 4 I red worst things but not by much. I suppose it“s better that working (which is the only reason I actually finished it). Overall - 4 Why does this thing have sequels? Anyway, I would recommend finding something better to read than this.
The Wolf Story is Bad; The Vampire Story is Good Four-fifths of this book is "Kindan no Koi wo Shiyou", a romance story about a woman who meets a "wolfman". In this story, a wolfman is a guy who is a wolf most of the time, but can turn into a handsome man when the moon is bright. They begin a romantic relationship immediately, and that's pretty much it. I did not like this. The characters are extremely bland, and the tone is bizarre for a romance mangaāeven though it is ostensibly supposed to be a sexy story about a "forbidden love" between a woman anda wolfman (the English title is "Let's Make Forbidden Love"), the tone is almost always farcically comical: "Omg, we were kissing, and he turned back into a wolf! Darn it!" That happens in every chapter, I think. Then there are sitcommy situations that arise from having a wolf boyfriend. Aside from that, what happens is, our heroine walks outside, is approached by evil thugs, and then the wolfman appears to beat them up and save her. The artwork on the cover of this manga is cool, but the art in the novel itself was a problem for me. It's almost always so minimal that it's nothing but the character who is currently speaking appearing over a white background, which made it kind of hard for me to tell what was actually happening sometimes. After that is a single-chapter story, "Vanpaia ni Onegai" / "A Request to the Vampire", which is about a suicidal malnourished woman who meets a vampire, asks him to end her life, and he refuses, because he doesn't want to drink the blood of somebody who's so unhealthy. This is actually such a fun idea, and I think it's executed fairly well. But somehow this is chapter 1 of 1 for this story, and it turns out that there are TWO full-book sequels to the wolfman story!! Life isn't fair!
