Asta Chronicles, the cornerstone of MMORPGs, has surged into the stagnant gaming market like a blazing comet. On the day of the highly anticipated 'Mythic' difficulty raid update, the largest in recent memory, JJA (Sung Chahyun), the leader of the renowned guild 'Haste'—ranked first across all servers and boasting the most first clears—is thrilled. However, his excitement is dashed when he logs in to find that his partner healer is enlisting in the military that very day! Unable to tackle the new raid without his crucial partner, JJA posts a recruitment notice for new team members. Yet, is able to pass the most difficult requirement of them all: a one-on-one interview. After a day of meticulously managing his block list and flooding the chat with ♡♡s, a surprising newcomer appears—a perfect partner seemingly sent from the devs themselves! Can JJA nurture this adorable newbie, HealTeaser, into a raid-ready healer? (Source: Lezhin Entertainment)

It's a very soft BL, with the focus way more on the MMORPG side of the story. The ratio is probably like 85:15... and not only is the romance itself slow burn, but the steamiest they get in the story is kissing. Be very warned, people who wants steamy and dramatic romances. But precisely because of this, I consider this story to be the one who manages to integrates the MMORPG side and the RL side the best amongst the others. Furthermore, the other guild members felt better fleshed out compared to other stories of its ilk. They have more importance, more to do, and the storyis able to give more glimpses of the characters' humanity. The MMORPG side of the plot is very okay, basically a love letter to raids in general and FF14 raids in particular, with a dash of PVP/guild raid as is wont to do with stories of this ilk. It's very entertaining. The characters are pretty flat but they are vivid and consistent and I do enjoy the various hijinks done between the guild members. There's an usual rivalry between two guilds, with banning and accusations of hacking and social media drama, and they are harmless enough not to feel annoying. The romance, see above. On top of everything else I said above, I also appreciate that the dynamics between the two characters are way more supportive than other MMORPG manhwas. The initial burst of exploitation and manipulation at the beginning quickly changes into more natural and genuine friendship. There are crushes and there are jealousies, but it takes almost an entire story for that to evolve into mutual love. At the same time, the journey doesn't feel that long. The narrative feels that engaging. I find MC's calculative personality amusing, and I do enjoy seeing a glimpse of a powergamer's mentality. Meanwhile ML... I really thought ML was a more stereotypical portrayal of a two-faced person, someone who hides an obsessive personality behind a soft mask. But no, he's just a soft boi through and through, and I appreciate that a lot. The art feels pretty decent. Every now and then faces get a bit wonky, but for most of the time it's engaging and dynamic and characters do look pretty.
