(Spanish review below). I absolutely loved the first part; I couldn't put it down. I liked how society is divided and the critique it offers: it's not alphas versus omegas, but alpha men versus everyone else, including alpha women. Exactly like in the real world. I also liked the protagonist's recovery, how he was slowly moving forward. However, the second part doesn't quite come together. Everything happens too fast, and there are interactions I expected that never happened and characters that end up being wasted, like the friend of the protagonist. It ends abruptly. Everything Shin achieves is because he's an alpha and through violence. Furthermore, he's apsychopath. As much as Yeon-woo likes him, it's incredibly creepy every time Shin tells him he won't let him go for anything in the world and how he acts like a lunatic when Yeon-woo isn't around. He's no different from the other toxic alphas we already know. I didn't like this second part and I was hoping Yeon-woo would decide to walk away and live on his own instead of continuing with a psychopath who followed him to his home, his job, his university and literally EVERYWHERE. I recommend the first part, but not the second. Overall, it's not THAT bad, but I didn't completely enjoy it. It's short and a quick read, so at least it's not a total waste of time. ...
One frigid December dawn, Song Yeon-woo meets an injured runaway alpha; inexplicably drawn toward his woodsy scent, he is compelled to help the young man. Despite his aversion to alphas due to trauma in his past, Yeon-woo somehow feels safe and welcomed in his presence. The two part in the moonlight, never to see one another again...but fate has other plans. Two years later, Yeon-woo has finally returned to the city to begin anew—still wary of alphas around him, he has built barriers in nearly every aspect of his life to keep himself safe. But when that a familiar scent begins to pierce through his boundaries, Yeon-woo is unable to stop himself from following them in pursuit of something thrilling... (Source: Lezhin Entertainment)
