NO SPOILERS. This manhwa is a work of art. From the worldbuilding, to the characters & their dynamics, to the fights and the plot. The artstyle is memorable and not something you see too often, and conveys the energy of the story perfectly. I won't go too deeply into the plot, but from the first chapter it's clear the world of Graymark, and specifically Section5, is a rough one. Capital punishment is the only kind of consequence for any crime-- we watch Great behead a little girl and our MC (Burner) makes a 'living' (so to speak) by letting rich people hit her as stressrelief. She finds her whole life upended when she saves a little Deku-lookalike boy from being kidnapped, only to find him killed the next day. His crime? Stealing a teddy bear. She reaches her boiling point. Deciding she'll do whatever it takes to bring down this system, she finds herself at odds with some of the most powerful in the world. Eventually she joins a team of miscellaneous rebels, called 'XEVOLTZ', with whom she works to fight against not just her enemies, but the world at large. It's really a shame this isn't more popular because it certainly deserves it. My favorite characters are Roy & Kiriya.
In a world where the smallest offense warrants the death penalty, Burner’s plan was to keep her head down and get the hell out of Area 5. But after reaching her breaking point, she suddenly finds herself a wanted criminal at odds with the Central Bureau and its most powerful Admin, Great. As she begins to discover her own powers and gain new allies, all-out war breaks out between the government and the revolution. Will a rag-tag team of rebels be enough to win the fight to define justice? (Source: Tapas Media)
